Senior Accountant

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant in our Accounting, Compliance and Reporting team.

As a Senior Accountant in our Accounting, Compliance and Reporting (ACR) department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality accounting and compliance services to international clients. This role combines technical expertise with client-facing responsibilities, offering opportunities to work on diverse projects and developing leadership skills and to be part of a team that values collaboration, support and opportunities to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with local and international accounting standards
• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records
• Ensure accurate general ledger maintenance and reconciliations
• Be part of various accounting projects and initiatives as needed
• Collaborate others team members to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• • Prepare and review management reporting for clients
• Prepare and review direct (CIT) and indirect (VAT, Intrastat) tax returns
• Participate in and communicate with the tax authorities during tax audits
• Communicate with and assist the clients’ auditors during annual financial audits
• Delegate and review tasks given to junior staff
• Communicate with clients on a daily basis
• Participate in preparation of proposals and other selling initiatives
  
  

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
• 3-4 years of experience in the field of accounting is a must
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices;
• Solid understanding of MS Office package;
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving thinking;
• Good communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
• Fluency in English and Bulgarian
