Manager Strategy and Transaction Services

EY Bulgaria is looking for a Manager to join the Transaction Diligence team part of the Strategy and Transaction service line.

Transaction Diligence (TD) advises corporate, private equity, and government clients both on the buy-side and on the sell-side of financial due diligence and plays an integral role in both our Buy & Integrate and Sell & Separate connected capital solutions. Along with analyzing the financial impact of a transaction, we also take into consideration the commercial and strategic priorities, regulatory risks, operations and synergies to maximize the value of the transaction for our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for project management of Transaction Support (TS) with primary focus on financial and commercial due diligence, negotiation and closing support
• Participates in relationship management with other experts and/or other practices as needed in connection with more complex projects
• Assists senior managers and/or partner with respect to compliance with client and engagement acceptance procedures, as well as managing the financial relationship with the client
• Assesses the reliability of accounting and financial information in all aspects
• Anticipates potential risks to the client, assesses their impact on the transaction, effectively communicates risks/concerns to the senior manager and/or lead engagement partner, makes recommendations to address them
• Responsible for the management of the team and its effective functioning
• Responsible for business development and attracting new business opportunities

Requirements:

• Strong academic record – bachelor or master degree in Finance or a related field
• ACCA qualification preferred
• 5+ years previous relevant experience including as a Manager
• Excellent understanding of finance and sound knowledge of accounting, IFRS and local GAAP
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Project and people management skills
• Team management experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Bulgarian and English)
