Our International Tax and Transaction Services (ITTS) team in Bulgaria is expanding, offering a unique opportunity to develop expertise in the international and corporate tax compliance and advisory, including exposure to the emerging global minimum tax framework (like Pillar 2).
The opportunity
As a Junior Consultant, you will join a collaborative team supporting local and multinational clients in meeting their corporate tax compliance obligations and addressing practical tax questions arising from their business activities.
This role combines hands-on tax compliance work with analytical thinking and elements of advisory, giving you the opportunity to understand how tax rules apply in real business scenarios.
You will work alongside one of the leading international tax teams in Bulgaria, with the opportunity to learn from professionals who have been actively involved in the development of the local legislative framework and interpretation of the Bulgarian rules.
Your key responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze changes in local and international tax framework, supporting the team in interpreting new rules and their application in practice
- Support the preparation of corporate income tax returns and related calculations
- Participate in the calculation of top-up taxes under Pillar 2 and related analyses
- Analyze the tax treatment of revenues and expenses based on accounting data and applicable tax rules
- Work with financial data, support data collection, validation, and reconciliation processes, assist in identifying and calculating tax adjustments, contribute to working papers and client deliverables
- Participate in engagements addressing client queries on corporate income tax and domestic top-up tax matters.
What we are looking for:

- Education & background:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics or similar
- Fluency in Bulgarian and English
- Suitable for recent graduates or candidates with limited experience

- Technical and analytical capabilities:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Ability to work with financial data and financial statements
- Good working knowledge of Excel
- Interest in direct taxes
- Attention to detail and accuracy
