Business Tax Advisory Junior Consultant

Purpose of the role
As a Junior Tax Consultant within our Tax team, you will make a contribution to tax engagements and internal projects with focus on Business Tax Advisory and Compliance.

What is Business Tax Advisory
BTA is acting as trusted advisors to in-bound and large domestic corporate clients. BTA provides tax advisory services to corporate taxpayers as well as for partnerships, joint ventures and other business entities. Our tax practice is helping our clients proactively and responsibly to effectively manage their tax obligations. As a part of a global team of more than 35,000 tax professionals you will advise and assist clients on compliance and reporting in all taxation areas depending on the clients’ needs. As a Tax Junior Consultant within our Tax team, you will make contribution to tax engagements and internal projects. You will actively establish internal and external relationships. You may participate in researching tax, preparing memorandums, helping clients with responses to local or international authorities, and assist clients in improving their tax function. With a clear focus on anticipating and identifying risks, you will escalate issues when appropriate. You will make sure that the work we deliver is of high quality and is reviewed by the next-level reviewer.

Your responsibilities
• Participate in different type of tax engagements
• Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, working in preparing / reviewing different tax products and forms, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress
• Assist in preparing reports, schedules and tax forms that will be delivered to clients and other parties
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel
• Build strong internal relationships

What we expect from you is:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Accounting / Economics / International Economic Relations
• 1-2 years experience on a similar position would be considered as an advantage  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Bulgarian and English (another language is a plus)
• Excellent computer literacy (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint are essential)
• Very good analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, positive attitude
• Desire to teamwork and constantly exceed expectations
