DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION

 

As the UI Design Lead, you will report to Director of experience, Innovation and work at APAC Technology Lab in Shenzhen. You will lead and drive sophisticated UI design solutions for our state of art technology solution. By collaborating with business and technology team. Provide solid design leadership, training and coaching is also your mission to achieve great team performance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

- Apply conceptual thinking to create world-class multi-platform digital products & services fusing user needs, business goals and technical constraints

 

- Assist in leading product research, competitive products analysis, strategy, information architecture development, content strategy and design trends, offer insights for technology product design.

 

- Working closely with an interdisciplinary team that includes other designers, project management, product owners, researchers, business and content strategists, and developers to ensure that design specifications are implemented.

 

- Use participatory and iterative design techniques including observational studies interviews, and other forms of qualitative and quantitative research to uncover insights, learn about user behavior and verify design concepts

 

- Create wireframes, visual elements, customer flows, information architecture, task analysis and usability testing to conceptualize and communicate detailed interaction and design

 

- Translate high-level concepts into designs that illustrate simplicity through storytelling and rapid prototyping methods, ranging from paper sketching to digital prototyping

 

- Contribute to the creation and definition of the design systems and visual languages with internal standard

Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually

 

 

Qualifications:

 

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in discipline related to UI/UX design or equivalent industry experience.

 

- 5+ years in-depth knowledge and experience of user interface design for relevant technology product with preference for rich apps or web design.

 

- Extensive knowledge and experience with driving and applying user-centered design processes while working collaboratively with customers, and cross-functional internal teams

 

- Working knowledge of modern design and prototyping tools

 

- Proficient in a variety of methods to convey ideas and concepts (e.g. storyboards, wireframes, prototypes, etc.)

 

- Highly communicative (written, verbal, presentation) in a way that generates empathy and engagement from the client and design team.

 

- Have a natural skill to engage with people at a deep level. Whether observing or interviewing customers, or working with fellow team members and clients, a service designer should be passionate about representing the human perspective in design and should have skills in bringing this passion to life for the team.

 

- Good understanding of current and emerging technologies and how they can impact design

 

- Strong knowledge of design process and project management
