The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Development Manager to lead the design, development, and delivery of ServiceNow solutions for clients across various industries. The ideal candidate will possess strong ServiceNow technical expertise, proven people leadership capabilities, and a track record of delivering successful digital transformation initiatives within a consulting or professional services environment.
Your key responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of ServiceNow implementations, enhancements, and transformation programs.
- Partner with clients to understand business challenges and translate requirements into scalable ServiceNow solutions.
- Manage multiple client engagements concurrently, ensuring delivery quality, timeline adherence, and budget management.
- Facilitate workshops, solution design sessions, and stakeholder presentations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders, providing recommendations aligned to industry best practices.
- Provide architecture and solution oversight across ServiceNow modules including ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, CSM, SPM, and IntegrationHub.
- Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialised utility programs using ServiceNow
- Analyse user needs and develop software solutions using servicenow, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
- Update software, enhances existing software capabilities, and develops and direct software testing and validation procedures.
- Work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements.
- Establish development standards, governance frameworks, and quality assurance processes.
- Review technical designs, customizations, integrations, and platform configurations.
- Drive platform optimization, scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of ServiceNow developers and technical consultants.
- Conduct performance reviews, coaching, career development planning, and resource allocation.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Support pre-sales activities including solutioning, proposal development, effort estimation, and client presentations.
- Contribute to practice growth initiatives, accelerators, reusable assets, and capability development.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling ServiceNow services within existing client accounts.
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in ServiceNow development and implementation.
- 3+ years of experience leading development teams or managing technical consultants.
- Proven experience delivering projects within a consulting, information technology or professional services environment.
- Experience managing client-facing engagements and executive stakeholders.
- Strong expertise across ServiceNow platform capabilities and architecture.
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript, REST APIs, integrations, Flow Designer, and Service Portal.
- Experience with Agile delivery methodologies.
- Understanding of cloud technologies and enterprise architecture principles.
- Strong consulting mindset with excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance hands-on technical leadership with people management responsibilities.
- Experience managing geographically distributed teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
