As an Applications Systems Engineer, you’ll be joined by an entrepreneurial team of multidisciplinary professionals in role which focuses on the development of next-gen, cloud-based data platform that will enable the audit professionals, and data specialists in collecting, combining, and exploration of data to create insights that support our clients with their decision-making processes. You will improve our clients’ data integrity and quality to allow for more reliable reports and insights within the accounting, finance, governance and regulatory space and pursue automation in the process to create efficiencies.

Your key responsibilities
- Willingness to learn new tech stack and integrating emerging technologies to enhance audit service delivery quality, solving business/client challenges through technology.
- Building user-centered applications, combining business knowledge with technology experience to build automation and analytic solutions with a focus on the financial services industry.
- Performing full life-cycle software development using agile framework including delivery and integration with other systems and applications in a cloud-based environment.
- Creating software development strategy and establish leading practice approaches based on industry trends, benchmarks, and new developments.
- Overseeing and directing staff during the build of complex software products or systems.
- Driving various stages of the development lifecycle, ensuring application/software architecture is aligned to stakeholder requirements.
- Creating and/or modifying application delivery process strategy based on industry trends, experience, leading practices, and direction of major players.
- Establishing strategy and business case for the integration of multiple applications.
- Lead the design of complex integration strategies and plans and the evaluation of complex system integration initiatives and advises on any necessary course corrections.
- Developing and maintain long-term business relationships and networks.

To qualify for the role you must have
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Management, Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of the following experiences, but will consider less years in experience for strong candidates.
- Experience in enterprise integration design patterns, microservices design and development, and middleware platforms including integrations, or application programming interface (API).
- Experience designing API centric solutions using at least one of the following: representational state transfer (REST), DevOps, Postman or SoapUI
- Experience developing schemas and data structures.
- Experience in the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC), including analysis, planning design, development, testing, and deployment.
- 3+ years of experience in software development in .Net or Python framework. Preferably Python with Angular or React.
- Experience converting business requirements into application and software design and managing the development lifecycle from configuration to deployment.
- Combination of experience with at least 3 of the following:
- Experience developing schemas and data structures.
- Experience with source control
- Hands-on experience using any API integration framework, such as MuleSoft, WSO2 or Apigee
- Experience with Azure Pipelines (Cl/CD)
- Experience in DevOps and cloud implementations.
- Experience implementing security, such as OAuth, SAML (security assertion markup language), single sign-on (SSO), or mobile device management
- Experience with front-end web technologies, frameworks and programming languages such as AngularJS, CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), and HTML5.
- Experience with back-end web technologies, frameworks and programming languages, such as SQL, RESTful API, JSON, Spark or model-view-controller (MVC).
- Experience with various general and high-purpose programming languages, such as PowerShell, Python, C++, C#, Scala, Java, JavaScript, Hive, R, Ajax, or NoSQL technologies
- Experience in BI (Business Intelligence) technologies, such as Tableau, Spotfire or Microsoft Power BI

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $102,500 to $187,900. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $122,900 to $213,400. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
- Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
