Tax Accountant, Business Tax Services, PCS Standard (Financial Services Office) (Senior) (Multiple Positions) (1579104), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, San Francisco, CA.
Provide business tax services to help client companies meet complex demands for tax reporting, compliance and planning, and tax policy and controversy. Advise on areas such as global compliance and reporting, tax accounting and risk advisory, tax performance advisory, business tax advisory, quantitative services and/or personal tax services. Provide tax-related domestic and cross-border planning and compliance assistance to clients, including business-connected individuals and their associated entities. Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine tax liability within an organization. Advise clients on long-range tax plans. Advise management about tax strategies and issues. Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice. Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, or other tax requirements.
Provide technical guidance and share knowledge with team members with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services focusing on more complex, judgmental and/or specialized issues. Demonstrate technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Learn about EY and its service lines and actively assess and present ways to apply knowledge and services.
Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40-45 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Tax, Law or a related field and 2 years of work experience in Tax and/or Financial Planning. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Tax, Law or related field and 1 year of work experience in Tax and/or Financial Planning.
Must have 1 year of experience in high-net-worth individual tax, partnership, private capital or international tax projects.
Must have 1 year of experience in US income, estate, gift, and goods and services taxation.
Must have 1 year of experience in conducting tax law research.
Must have 1 year of experience in automated tax processing systems, including one of the following: GoSystems, CS Planner, Excel, and/or Checkpoint SurePrep.
Must have 1 year of experience in Federal Income Tax and State/City Income Tax.
Must have 1 year of experience in Fixed Asset Depreciation.
Must have 1 year of experience in High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth.
Must have 1 year of experience in one of the following:
o Tax Penalty Abatements;
o Federal Corporate and Partnership Tax Returns; AND/OR
o Trust Fund Recovery Penalty.
