People Consulting – UKG Workforce Management Consulting -Exp Staff
Managing global workforces is increasingly complex. People Consulting helps organizations improve performance by delivering practical, high-quality solutions in an evolving work environment. As a Staff Consultant, you’ll be part of a collaborative team with diverse experiences and strong support. You’ll gain hands-on exposure to workforce management consulting while building foundational skills across industries, capabilities, and geographies.
The opportunity
As a Staff Consultant specializing in UKG Workforce Management (UKG Pro WFM / Dimensions), you will support the delivery of workforce management solutions by working closely with senior consultants and managers. You’ll assist in understanding client requirements, configuring solutions, and producing high-quality work products while continuing to build your technical and consulting skill set. This role is focused on learning, execution, and growth within EY’s People Consulting UKG practice.
Your key responsibilities
- Support UKG WFM project delivery activities under the guidance of senior team members
- Assist with requirements gathering, documentation, and basic gap analysis
- Participate in system configuration, testing, and validation activities for UKG WFM solutions
- Help prepare functional design documents, test scripts, test cases, and user training materials
- Support data analysis and assist in summarizing findings for internal and client use
- Participate in client and internal working sessions, contributing notes and follow-up items
- Assist with implementation lifecycle activities including Discovery, Design, Configuration, Testing, Knowledge Transfer, and Post-Go-Live support
- Learn UKG (legacy Kronos) Dimensions or Workforce Central functionality through hands-on project work
- Support internal initiatives such as methodology development, documentation, and knowledge sharing
Skills and attributes for success
- Foundational understanding of workforce management concepts such as scheduling, timekeeping, and attendance
- Interest in UKG WFM technology and workforce optimization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage assigned tasks, meet deadlines, and follow established project processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based, fast-paced consulting environment
- Willingness to learn and adapt across industries such as manufacturing, retail, and healthcare
To qualify for the role, you must have
- 1–2 years of experience or exposure to UKG Dimensions, Workforce Central, or similar WFM / HR systems (internships, coursework, or project experience acceptable)
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent)
- Basic understanding of time management, attendance, scheduling, or HR systems
- Experience working with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Willingness to travel as needed and work in a hybrid environment
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Exposure to consulting, HR technology, or workforce management through internships, projects, or early-career roles
- Familiarity with HR or WFM platforms such as UKG, ADP, Workday, SAP, Oracle, or Ceridian
- Strong attention to detail and eagerness to build technical and consulting expertise
- Interest in pursuing long-term growth within People Consulting and workforce transformation

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $71,500 to $118,100. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $85,900 to $134,200. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
- Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
