Our Administrative Workplace Services (AWS) team is committed to providing our professionals and clients with premiere facility and administrative support across various channels. As part of the Tax Support team, you will be tasked with providing a full scope of administrative support for tax return processing and delivery within a region.
The opportunity
As an Administrative Document Coordinator, you’ll deliver submitted tax returns in accordance with established Tax practice guidelines. You’ll use your tax and technology skills to help produce returns that are accurate. You’ll also track the status of submitted returns, and scan and electronically save applicable tax documents. You may also be asked to carry out other Tax engagement-related support activities within an office or region. Your key responsibilities include
- Developing an in-depth understanding of all applicable federal, state and local tax return types and assembly/filing requirements
- Understanding and adhering to tax methodology requirements for processing tax return products and other practice-specific policies
- Frequently monitoring tax processing Outlook mailboxes to retrieve tax return requests
- Accurately and efficiently logging, copying/printing/assembling and distributing tax returns
- Identifying opportunities to address customer needs and participating in initiatives to improve processes and services
- Applying knowledge of the business and the industry to identify the real issues facing our clients and providing innovative and pragmatic insights and solutions
- Working overtime during peak tax-processing time frames

You’ll need to work independently and proactively to deliver project deliverables.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Experience in managing full scope of tax processing or a high volume administrative background
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Excellent skills in computer/technology (e.g., Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite) applications
- Aptitude to learn new tax technology applications and perform work electronically, as well as use paper media when necessary
- Ability to prioritize, multitask and take responsibility for accuracy, quality and meeting deadlines
- One-plus years of related work experience; experience with tax returns a plus
- High school diploma with some college or equivalent work experience
- To qualify for this role, you must have the ability to work within an EY office
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Experience working for a professional services firm
- Experience working independently
- Experience working in a high-volume print processing role with minimal supervision

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $37,100 to $67,400. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $44,600 to $76,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
