Service Delivery Center, SAP ABAP - Senior
The Opportunity
Our objective is to provide clients with a unique business perspective on how to leverage SAP technology to improve their operations. This is rooted in EY’s SAP service line capabilities (Supply Chain, FICO, BPC, Data & Analytics, Customer, Tech/Arch and SuccessFactors) that are focused on helping clients improve performance and increase productivity.
A top performer will have the ability to successfully manage an ABAP development team and deliver quality SAP custom programs on client engagements. They will have the ability to multi-task different assignments on engagements and have strong interpersonal skills that allow for effective communications with fellow EY and client team members. Build grow the team within the SDC model and mentor the junior team members
Skills and attributes for success
- Guide and support clients in selecting, implementing, and maintaining SAP technical solutions, encompassing blueprinting, design, configuration, testing, training, and go-live assistance.
- Collaborate with functional teams to interpret and translate business requirements into comprehensive design, functional, and technical specifications, while conducting thorough gap analyses.
- Contribute technical and development expertise within a project team, transforming design concepts into effective SAP solutions.
- Exhibit expertise in developing RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows) using SAP ABAP to fulfill business needs.
- Showcase extensive technical knowledge and skills in traditional ABAP, Object-Oriented programming in ABAP, Core Data Services (CDS), OData, Business Rules Framework Plus (BRF+), and SAP classic workflows.
- Conduct validations, develop test plans, and execute unit, system, and integration testing to ensure the quality and functionality of delivered solutions.
- Collaborate closely with clients, EY professional services management, and project managers to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery that meets client expectations.
- Engage and contribute within diverse teams, leveraging varied skills and backgrounds to enhance project outcomes.
- Consistently provide high-quality client services by actively monitoring project progress and addressing any issues.
- Foster and maintain long-term client relationships and professional networks to support ongoing collaboration and success.
To qualify, you must have
- Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
- Must have minimum of 3 years of experience in SAP technology project delivery for development organizations.
- Must have minimum 2 years of experience demonstrating leadership and management of project/development experience.
- Must have 3 years of experience in SAP ABAP development and must have experience in object-oriented ABAP techniques
- Minimum 2 years of experience in S/4 HANA ABAP development.
- Must have been part of at least 2 full life cycle SAP implementations
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Project management certification is preferred (PMI/CAPM or PMP, PRINCE2)

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $66,300 to $135,400. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $79,500 to $153,800. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
- Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
