The opportunity

 

An exciting new opportunity has arisen at EY MENA! As the MENA Events and Hotel coordinator, you will be responsible for reviewing existing process and strategies, developing and implementing new ones, and managing MENA stakeholders and supplier relationships. You will collaborate with various MENA stakeholders to ensure alignment with their objectives. While a key focus will be on Travel, Meetings, and Events, the role's scope extends beyond this category and is expected to evolve over time. The ideal candidate will be flexible and able to adapt to ongoing changes.

This position will serve as the primary day-to-day contact for MENA-based stakeholders regarding operational and reporting requirements. You will also work closely with suppliers to monitor key performance indicators and implement operational efficiencies to support MENA Travel and M&E initiatives.

You will be expected to work independently but will interact daily with MENA Leadership and support leads to understand their needs and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

 

Your Key Responsibilities:

 

  1. Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement t strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  2. Supplier Management:
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
    • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns.
  3. Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
    • Identify and mitigate related risks.
  4. Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements.
    • Provide expertise and support to various departments.
  5. Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare and present regular reports on activities, performance, and savings.
    • Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends and best practices.

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the field, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in the GCC and proficiency in Arabic is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant technology and software.
  • This position requires occasional travel.
  • Standard office environment with occasional remote work flexibility.
