The opportunity
We are seeking a senior technology consulting leader with deep experience in Mining & Metals, ideally across Saudi Arabia and the GCC. We would also consider candidates from other asset-intensive industries such as Energy, Chemicals, Utilities and Manufacturing who bring relevant technology transformation experience. The successful candidate will combine strong industry expertise with deep technology consulting credentials and a proven track record of advising executive stakeholders on large-scale transformation programmes. They should be able to bridge business, operations and technology, helping clients unlock value through digital, data and technology-enabled transformation.
As an Executive Director / Partner within EY Technology Consulting, you will help shape and grow our market presence, build trusted C-suite relationships and lead complex, multi-workstream transformation programmes. You will connect sector insight with EY’s regional and global capabilities to originate opportunities, mobilise high-performing teams and deliver measurable, sustainable outcomes for clients.
Your key responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of technology-enabled transformation agendas for Mining & Metals and other asset-intensive clients across Saudi Arabia and the GCC.
Act as a trusted adviser to CIOs, CTOs, COOs and business leadership teams, translating strategic priorities into pragmatic transformation roadmaps and investment cases.
Originate, shape and convert major opportunities through account planning, executive relationship development, proposal leadership and commercial negotiation.
Oversee the delivery of large, complex programmes from strategy through implementation, maintaining a strong focus on quality, value realisation, risk management and client satisfaction.
Bring together multidisciplinary capabilities across technology strategy, data and AI, digital operations, enterprise platforms, cloud, operational technology and cyber to address client priorities.
• Build and lead senior consulting teams, mentor future leaders and contribute to practice capability, offerings and thought leadership.
• Collaborate across EY’s regional and global network to bring the right sector, functional and technology expertise to each engagement.
• Provide visible market leadership through senior client forums, industry relationships and relevant points of view.

• Enterprise platforms, cloud and core business systems modernisation.
• Technology-enabled workforce productivity and digital ways of working.
• Large-scale technology programme delivery, transformation leadership and executive advisory.
Ideal candidate profile
15+ years of experience in technology consulting, industry technology leadership or large-scale transformation roles.
Deep Mining & Metals experience preferred, with experience in other heavy industries also considered.
Strong understanding of mining operations, processing plants, industrial assets and digital operations environments.
Experience leading technology-enabled transformations from strategy through implementation.
Established relationships with CIOs, CTOs and business leadership teams across the GCC.
Proven business development, account leadership and team leadership experience.
Credible with both operational and technology stakeholders, able to translate complex technology topics into tangible business outcomes.
Skills and attributes for success
Executive presence, sound judgement and the ability to build trusted relationships at board and C-suite level.
Strong commercial acumen, including opportunity qualification, pricing, contracting, negotiation and portfolio management.
A growth mindset with a demonstrable record of building pipeline, winning work and expanding strategic accounts.
Ability to lead multidisciplinary and geographically distributed teams in a collaborative, inclusive and high-performance environment.
Clear, persuasive communication and the ability to simplify complex operational and technology matters for senior decision-makers.
A strong commitment to delivery excellence, professional integrity and responsible use of technology.
Qualifications and market experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or a related discipline.
Extensive leadership experience within a recognised consulting firm, a leading Mining & Metals organisation or another major asset-intensive enterprise.
Demonstrated experience in Saudi Arabia and/or the wider GCC market is strongly preferred.
Professional proficiency in English is required; Arabic language capability is advantageous.
Relevant professional or technology certifications are advantageous but not essential.
