The Opportunity
The Consulting Strategy & Execution function is the engine room that supports the MENA Consulting Leadership Team in shaping, communicating, and implementing the MENA Consulting Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy Development
- Support the refresh of the EY MENA Consulting strategy, including defining the strategic imperatives, strategic programs and initiatives, and the related operating model
- Conduct market research and internal performance analysis to inform strategic recommendations
- Work closely with Sub-Service Lines, Sector Communities and internal functions to drive strategic alignment
- Translate leadership direction into structured frameworks, programs and roadmaps
2. Operating Model & Governance
- Develop, refresh, and document operating model components (roles, governance, processes, KPIs, decision rights, etc.)
- Create materials and guidance to support adoption of new models (e.g., playbooks, role descriptions, charters, RACI matrices)
3. Strategic Programs & Initiatives
- Support in developing and driving the implementation of strategic initiatives across MENA Consulting, coordinating between different Sub-Service Lines, Sectors, and internal functions
- Track progress, identify risks, and escalate issues potentially impeding strategic objectives
4. Leadership Enablement & Communications
- Prepare high-quality presentations to support the Consulting Leadership Team in communicating on strategy
- Support partner meetings, townhalls, all-hands events, and leadership forums with strategic content and insights
- Draft internal updates, strategic messages, and storytelling artefacts that drive clarity and ownership across the firm
5. Insight, Analysis & Decision Support
- Provide inputs into dashboards and performance trackers that help leadership make informed decisions.
- Collaborate with other functions in analyzing KPIs and market trends to identify opportunities and gaps
Role Requirements
- 3-6 years experience in management consulting, strategy, business transformation, or similar strategic/analytical roles
- Proven experience developing strategies and operating models for large and complex organizations
- Proven experience in client-facing consulting role, with exposure to diverse topics related to transformation, digital, risk, and people consulting
- Strong understanding of the regional consulting landscape from the supply and demand sides
- Strong academic background, preferably in Business, a Master’s degree or MBA is an advantage
- Proven ability to work with senior leadership and translate high-level direction into structured outputs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trusted relationships and communicate with confidence, and influence without authority
- Advanced analytical capability, with strong PowerPoint and Excel skills; experience with dashboards or data structuring is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and structured thinking, with the ability to deal with ambiguity, and synthesize complexity into clear, actionable insights
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills; ability to write and present high quality content with clarity and simplicity
- High level of creativity and conceptual thinking to design simple and compelling frameworks, and develop innovative approaches
- Comfort shifting priorities and navigating ambiguity
