Join our Global Compliance and Reporting (GCR) team as Senior Payroll Consultant – be a vital pillar for financial integrity, providing comprehensive accounting solutions, and helping businesses to maneuver through complex compliance obligations. 

The opportunity 

When you join EY Global Compliance and Reporting (GCR) team, you’ll be at the forefront of advancing financial transparency, spearheading competent accounting practices, and guiding organizations to meet their regulatory commitments. 

Your key responsibilities 

• Oversee large payroll process, including processing payroll, verifying payroll data, and ensuring accurate and timely payment of employees.
• Prepare tax returns as per Latvian legislation requirements.
• Prepare other payroll reports as per client management requirements, provide comprehensive assistance to clients in the preparation and oversight of payroll data.
• Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve payroll efficiency and accuracy.
• Delegate tasks and supervise a team of 3-6 people.
• Maintain long-term collaborative relationships with our clients, work together with other Senior Consultants and Managers.

Attributes to thrive in the role 

• Professional experience in Payroll Accountant or similar position.
• Experience in delegating and coordinating a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Latvian and English languages as we work with international clients.
• Strong interpersonal, team working and leadership skills.
• Attention to details and accuracy.
• Experience in an international environment would be an advantage.

Salary: 2100 – 2800 EUR (depending on experience)
