This is a dual role:

• As the Latvian HR team leader, you will manage HR operations by implementing Global and Baltic HR policies, procedures, and programs. You will also support local leadership on country-specific people matters and complex situations alongside other HR business partners.

• As the HR business partner for Baltic Strategy and Transactions at EY Parthenon department, you will assist department leadership and employees with various people-related matters, including performance management and compensation, while collaborating on action steps based on employee engagement surveys.

 

Key Responsibilities

This position provides effective HR support, including:

  • Leading the Latvian HR team to ensure quality management of HR operations by implementing Global and Baltic HR policies and programs in Latvia.
  • Acting as a trusted business partner to leadership, ensuring operational excellence and providing guidance on people-related matters.
  • Collaborating with business line managers and employees to enhance work relationships, morale, productivity, and retention.
  • Identifying training needs for teams and individuals and implementing training and development programs in cooperation with the Organizational Development team.
  • Implementing performance management and succession planning programs.
  • Administering compensation and benefit programs, along with other motivation initiatives in cooperation with the Reward team.
  • Resolving complex employee relations issues and addressing grievances.

 

Skills and attributes for success 

  • Experience in an international organization.
  • Higher education in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • A strong understanding of HR processes and at least 3 years of HR Partner experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with the various local and international stakeholders.
  • Business acumen and the ability to take a strong stand if required.
  • Knowledge of modern HR practices and the skills to apply them.
  • Very good people and process management skills.
  • Good knowledge of Latvian labor legislation and regulations.
  • Latvian and English language skills on C1 level.
