The opportunity

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager to join our Banking Technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for addressing complex business needs, improving operational efficiency, and drive innovation across the organization.

 

As a Manager you will be responsible for leading and supporting the team through large transformation projects. You will collaborate with key stakeholders as well as technical and functional teams. Your expertise will shape the team’s strategy while fostering continuous improvement and innovation across the practice.

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead large transformation projects aimed at modernizing core banking systems for banks and credit unions (Payments, Lending, Risk, and more).
  • Conduct thorough analysis of business processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable technical specifications.
  • Act as a product owner or business analyst, ensuring that solutions align with client objectives and industry best practices.
  • Oversee risk and finance initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and effective risk management strategies.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.


To qualify for the role you must have

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of proven experience in the payments industry, commercial banking, lending, risk and finance, or fraud prevention.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and operations within the financial services sector.
  • Previous experience as a product owner or business analyst, with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.

 

This position is available to candidates in various EY offices across Canada. Please note that due to the national scope of the role, proficiency in English is required.
