Job Title: Manager - PLM Techno-Functional Consultant / Solution Architect – Auto, Discrete & CPG Industry (Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE / Centric PLM / Siemens Teamcenter)
Experience Required: 6 – 12 years
Role Summary
A Techno-Functional PLM Consultant / Solution Architect bridges business and IT by translating product lifecycle processes into scalable, configured, integrated, and reliable PLM solutions. The role combines strong functional understanding of product development, compliance, and supplier collaboration with hands-on system configuration, integrations, testing, documentation, and support to ensure that PLM effectively enables business operations and digital transformation.
The consultant should have strong experience in Automotive, Discrete Manufacturing, and CPG industries, along with deep expertise in Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE, Siemens Teamcenter, and Centric PLM platforms. The role requires ownership of end-to-end solution architecture and delivery — from requirements and design through configuration, integration, testing, deployment, and steady-state support — ensuring scalability, performance, data integrity, and business adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into scalable functional designs and solution architectures aligned with enterprise standards.
- Lead structured requirements gathering, stakeholder workshops, and as-is / to-be process and capability mapping.
- Architect and configure core PLM processes including EBOM, MBOM, SBOM, Change Management (ECR/ECO/ECN), Variants, and Configuration Management.
- Design and govern formulas, ingredients, recipes, specifications, and regulated product data models within PLM.
- Architect packaging, labeling, and artwork workflows across brands, regions, and product variants.
- Design and implement Supplier Management, onboarding, qualification, and compliance workflows.
- Define enterprise-wide data models, attributes, classifications, naming conventions, and lifecycle states.
- Lead data migration architecture, cleansing strategies, reconciliation, and validation approaches.
- Enable analytics and AI readiness through data modeling, semantic alignment, and quality controls.
- Support regulatory and quality compliance including REACH, RoHS, ISO, and industry-specific regulations.
- Define and lead UAT strategy, release governance, training, and adoption enablement.
- Own functional and technical documentation, architectural diagrams, configuration baselines, and access governance.
- Architect and govern integrations with ERP, MES, ALM, sourcing, regulatory, and analytics platforms.
- Configure and optimize workflows, lifecycles, validations, and UI frameworks across PLM platforms.
- Design and oversee custom extensions, services, scripts, and automation patterns.
- Define environment strategy (DEV/TEST/PROD), performance benchmarks, security models, and upgrade paths.
- Support release management, monitoring, incident response, and Application Management Services (AMS) governance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong experience in Automotive, Discrete Manufacturing, and CPG domains.
- Hands-on and architectural experience with either of Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE, Siemens Teamcenter, and/or Centric PLM.
- Deep understanding of PLM lifecycle processes including BOM, Change, Configuration, Specifications, and Supplier Management.
- Strong capability in requirements engineering, business architecture, and solution design.
- Experience configuring and extending PLM platforms including workflows, rules, UI, automation, and integrations.
- Strong data architecture and governance expertise including modeling, migration, validation, traceability, and quality controls.
- Proven experience designing enterprise integrations and digital thread architecture across PLM, ERP, manufacturing, and analytics.
- Experience leading testing strategies, release governance, and adoption programs.
- Strong understanding of platform operations including environment management, security, performance, upgrades, and AMS.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to operate across business and technical leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing global, multi-region PLM architectures and rollouts.
- Exposure to analytics, AI, digital thread, or digital twin initiatives using PLM data.
- Knowledge of Agile, SAFe, Hybrid, or enterprise delivery models.
- Platform certifications in Dassault, Siemens, or Centric are a plus.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
