GDS EY-Parthenon – Strategy & Execution (S&E) – Deal Management – Manager

 

The opportunity

 

We are looking for experienced professionals with 10–15 years of consulting and/or industry experience supporting M&A transactions, integrations, separations, carve-outs, and transformation programs across the deal lifecycle. Candidates should possess strong experience leading transaction workstreams and delivering work products such as operational due diligence, standalone costing, operating model design, TSA development and management, synergy assessment and realization, Day 1 readiness, 100-day planning, transaction PMO, separation planning, and transaction execution.

Your key responsibilities

 

  • Lead the delivery of transaction-related engagements across integrations, separations, carve-outs, and large-scale transformation programs.
  • Manage multiple client workstreams, ensuring timely execution of deliverables, effective risk management, governance, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Lead the development and review of transaction work products, including operational due diligence, standalone cost analysis, operating model assessments, TSA planning, synergy identification and tracking, Day 1 readiness, and 100-day planning.
  • Design and implement PMO structures, governance frameworks, reporting mechanisms, and decision-making processes to support complex transactions.
  • Provide strategic and operational insights through quantitative and qualitative analyses, translating findings into actionable recommendations for clients.
  • Develop executive-level presentations, board materials, dashboards, and reporting packs to support key transaction decisions.
  • Build and manage relationships with senior client stakeholders, becoming a trusted advisor throughout the transaction lifecycle.
  • Lead engagement teams, providing day-to-day guidance, quality assurance, coaching, and performance management.
  • Support business development initiatives through proposal development, pursuit support, thought leadership, and client relationship management.
  • Collaborate with global EY teams and regional stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions across industries and sectors.
  • Conduct timely performance reviews and actively mentor junior team members to support capability building and career progression.

 

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end M&A transaction lifecycle, including integration, separation, carve-out, and transformation activities.
  • Demonstrated experience leading transaction work products such as operational due diligence, standalone costing, operating model design, TSA development, synergy assessment, value capture, Day 1 readiness, and transaction PMO.
  • Strong project and program management capabilities, including governance, planning, dependency management, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Ability to structure complex business problems and develop practical, value-focused recommendations.
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to understand strategic, operational, and financial implications of transactions.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting large and complex datasets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and executive stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments while managing multiple priorities.
  • Experience managing diverse teams and collaborating across geographies and cultures.

To qualify for the role, you must have

 

  • Postgraduate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline from a reputed institution.
  • 10-15 years of relevant consulting and/or industry experience in M&A, integration, separation, carve-out, transformation, or transaction advisory environments.
  • Proven experience leading transaction engagements and managing client stakeholders.
  • Experience delivering one or more transaction work products such as operational due diligence, standalone cost assessment, operating model design, TSA development, synergy realization, transaction PMO, integration planning, or separation planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with experience working with financial, operational, organizational, or transaction-related data.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, Visio, or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage engagement economics, and drive successful delivery outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel across domestic and internationally, as required by client engagements.

 

 

Ideally, you will also have

 

  • Experience supporting cross-border transactions involving APAC and Middle East clients.
  • Experience working within transaction PMOs, integration management offices (IMO), or separation management offices (SMO).
  • Experience across sectors such as Infrastructure, Energy, Government, Technology, Consumer Products, or Industrials.
  • Strong business development and client relationship management experience.
  • Experience utilizing AI-enabled tools and digital solutions to improve delivery efficiency and quality.
