EY Technology supports our technology needs through three business units:
- Client Technology (CT) - focuses on developing new technology services for our clients. It enables EY to identify new technology-based opportunities faster and pursue those opportunities more rapidly.
- Enterprise Workplace Technology (EWT) – EWT supports our Core Business Services functions and will deliver fit-for-purpose technology infrastructure at the cheapest possible cost for quality services. EWT will also support our internal technology needs by focusing on a better user experience.
- Information Security (Info Sec) - Info Sec prevents, detects, responds and mitigates cyber-risk, protecting EY and client data, and our information management systems.
The opportunity
The Senior Manager, Data Analytics & Reporting role leads a team of data analysts to provide actionable insights, optimize processes, and support data-driven decision-making. It involves managing data analysis, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that recommendations align with business goals and industry standards.
Your key responsibilities
- Perform in-depth analytics and statistical modeling on diverse business datasets to derive actionable insights. Identify key trends, patterns, and correlations that drive informed decision-making across the organization.
- Define and manage data requirements, oversee data acquisition, and ensure data integrity through thorough cleaning and processing. Develop visualizations that effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Lead a team of data analysts, providing mentorship, training, and performance evaluations. Establish clear performance expectations, conduct regular reviews, and make decisions on compensation in alignment with HR policies.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and translate them into actionable data-driven solutions. Present findings in a clear, accessible format that resonates with business needs and strategic goals.
- Analyze daily business operations and leverage data to identify opportunities for process improvements. Develop and implement streamlined workflows that enhance efficiency and operational effectiveness.
- Utilize advanced tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL) to manage large datasets and perform complex analyses. Develop automated solutions to simplify data collection, processing, and reporting processes.
- Lead the creation and delivery of presentations that translate analytical insights into clear, actionable business recommendations. Provide expert consulting to ensure proposed solutions align with both business objectives and data capabilities.
- Build and nurture strong internal and external relationships to effectively manage cross-departmental data projects. Coordinate efforts to resolve operational challenges and ensure successful project outcomes.
- Drive continuous professional growth within the analytics team, ensuring they remain updated on the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices. Foster an environment of learning and innovation.
- Contribute to the development of both short- and long-term departmental strategies that support business goals. Play an active role in business planning and budgeting processes to ensure project feasibility and appropriate resource allocation.
- Design and deliver tailored analyses and products to meet the evolving needs of stakeholders. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the quality and relevance of analytical insights.
- Engage in special projects and take on additional duties as required to support organizational objectives and team success.
Skills and attributes for success
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
- Strong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik).
- Expertise in statistical modeling and machine learning algorithms.
- Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence platforms.
- A team player with strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
- Constantly updating yourself about new technologies in the market

To qualify for the role, you must have
- Minimum 10 years of related work experience, preferably in Data Management, Analysis & Modelleing, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field and Master's degree or MBA (preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related fields, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Experience in developing and executing data strategies that align with business objectives.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
- Strong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik).
- Expertise in statistical modeling and machine learning algorithms.
- Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence platforms.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing team of data analysts.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Experience working closely with senior stakeholders across departments to align analytics efforts with business goals.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and guide team members.
