The Quality and Risk Management Group develops and implements quality and risk management enablers, including policies, processes, methodologies, training and tools to support our people in the delivery of consistent, high quality service. This position will report directly to the Quality and Risk Management Director and interacts with executive level personnel.
The Quality and Risk Management Associate will be based in our Trinidad office. The position possesses subject matter knowledge and is the initial or secondary point of contact for client engagement teams. The position will also manage ISQM (International Standards of Quality Management) responsibilities under the supervision of senior members of the Risk team.
Your key responsibilities
- Understand the key requirements of the firm and regulators' independence rules and policies
- Assists client teams with obtaining background materials required to initiate business
- Act as liaison between the client teams, other members of the Q&RM team ad various functional areas within the firm
- ISQM responsibilities include liaising with the US SQM Team, administration of the SQM Tool, monitoring, control testing, evaluation and reporting.
- Assist with the research and formulation of responses to queries from internal clients
- Manage tasks and activities related to the execution of the firm's pre-approval process
- Manage tasks and activities in a timely manner and is responsible for specific outcomes
- Build a network of people within Q&RM and across the firm
- Provide judgment to initial consultations and/or submissions review and rapidly develop an understanding of key requirements of firm and regulators' independence rules and policies
- Develop a comprehensive knowledge of existing policies, research issues and through situation specific inquiries, propose solutions to issues
- Assist with the delivery of training sessions for internal clients

To qualify for the role you must have
- a Bachelor's degree in a related area
- approximately 1-3 years related audit or risk management experience would be an asset
- previous experience in Big 4 or Big 4 like environment is a plus would be an asset
- proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong familiarity with technology
