The opportunity

Senior Graphic Designers are talented and motivated creative professionals with design strategy and innovation at their core. This role goes beyond execution – you’ll be trusted to translate business objectives into compelling ideas and implement advanced creative solutions for multifaceted design projects. Working closely with art directors, cross-disciplinary teams, stakeholders, and clients, you’ll lead the development of concept-driven work that is strategically grounded and moves the business forward.

As a senior team member, you’ll be instrumental in contributing to a high-performing team environment by mentoring peers and delivering outstanding client experiences. With a strong awareness of industry trends, you’ll bring fresh perspectives and forward-thinking ideas to continuously elevate our creative output.

Your key responsibilities

  • Conduct design consultations and navigate conversations with knowledge and insight towards business solutions
  • Seek to understand the internal client’s vision through active listening and advanced communication
  • Develop and co-develop creative briefs, storyboards and layouts to effectively communicate design ideas that are persuasive and inclusive
  • Conceptualize and execute design solutions that align with business objectives while offering elevated client and team experiences
  • Design clear and visually compelling campaigns, pitches and presentations
  • Collaborate with creative project team members in developing conceptual skills and provide constructive feedback to implement project vision
  • Excel at project management including managing multiple projects, prioritizing milestones, and influencing clients and design colleagues to deliver desirable solutions within timeframe and budget
  • Seek mentorship and coaching from art directors and creative team members to review and provide constructive feedback on strategy, concepts and design solutions
  • Engage with cross-disciplinary creative team members such as consultants, writers, animators and videographers
  • Initiate and engage in creative ideation sessions and design sprints
  • Serve as a knowledgeable brand ambassador and advocate of visual identity strategy and guidelines
  • Work off-site or travel as part of a project team when needed
  • Identify, resolve and overcome obstacles with mindful communication, decisive action and thoughtful judgment
  • Display business acumen while working alongside client-serving professionals
  • Forecast additional resource needs or vendor options and offer alternative solutions
  • Evaluate conflicting requirements of multiple projects, maintain workflow within compressed timeframes, and remain open to challenge and reappraisal
  • Project-manage creative teams

Skills and attributes for success

  • Advanced creative conceptual design skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat); some knowledge of prototyping software and Adobe Experience Manager a plus
  • Proficient in creating compelling design solutions in PowerPoint
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams and SharePoint)
  • Initiative to think ahead and anticipate client and team needs
  • Ability to leverage brand guidelines to develop a range of creative initiatives while utilizing various procedures and processes
  • Versatile and flexible communication skills, active listening and diplomacy with business partners, project owners, managers and team members
  • Advanced technical understanding of digital media and print design in-house and with vendors
  • Proficient understanding of copyright regulations

 

What we look for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 5-8 years of experience in graphic design or related field
  • Preferred experience working in a virtual environment
