Corporate Tax Specialist – Manager

The opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Manager to join our Corporate Tax team in Papua New Guinea.   

Our Corporate Tax team is focussed on being a trusted advisor, with a very strong focus on bringing the best of EY to our clients. We think the future is exciting and we are looking for an innovative, pro-active person to join our growing team.

You will work with a well-known and exciting client base across a variety of industries to help shape and enhance business strategies and help them solve tomorrow’s problems today. Your key responsibilities

• Provide tax advisory and compliance services to business clients, advising on tax matters and helping them navigate a complex environment while mitigating tax risks and ensuring compliance with tax laws.
• Develop strong relationships with clients to deliver high-level technical advice on tax law application, contributing to client acquisition and working across multiple projects both independently and collaboratively with a global network.
• Liaise with the Internal Revenue Commission on corporate tax affairs and mentor junior staff members to enhance team capabilities.

What we look for

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• Relevant PNG tax experience from a top-tier accounting firm, corporate, business consulting, or legal environment, with a proven track record in delivering tax services as part of a professional tax services team.
• Strong relationship-building skills and a commitment to providing high-level client service while mentoring and training junior staff members.
• Interest in continuous improvement and staying updated with the latest tax technologies.
