Our ServiceNow Delivery practice helps clients modernize systems, processes, and products to enhance business and customer-facing platforms and services to support high performance in a rapidly changing, competitive environment. The team leverages various ServiceNow modules, Microservices, Cloud, API Management, and open-source technologies to enable end-to-end automation with safe and sound architecture at optimum cost.

What we look for

 

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer with strong expertise in Hardware Asset Management (HAM) to support the design, configuration, and enhancement of HAM capabilities on the ServiceNow platform. The role requires hands-on development skills, deep understanding of asset lifecycle management, and experience integrating discovery and procurement data sources. 

Your key responsibilities

The ServiceNow Developer will assist in project implementations while driving thought leadership through deep expertise in the ServiceNow platform, its product capabilities, and related technologies. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining solutions in a client-consulting environment, with a focus on areas such as IT Asset Management (ITAM), Hardware Asset Management (HAM), Software Asset Management (SAM), Configuration Management Database (CMDB), Discovery.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Configure and customize ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM / HAM Pro).
  • Develop asset lifecycle processes including request, procurement, receiving, deployment, loaner, refresh, and disposal.
  • Configure hardware models, asset classes, stockrooms, and lifecycle workflows.
  • Develop Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Flow Designer flows, and scheduled jobs.
  • Integrate HAM with CMDB and maintain CI-Asset relationships.
  • Integrate with third-party discovery tools (SCCM, Intune, Jamf, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot reconciliation and data quality issues.
  • Automate receiving, deployment, stock transfers, and asset retirement.
  • Support warranty tracking, refresh planning, and asset reuse.
  • Build reports and dashboards for asset visibility and compliance.
  • Support SIT, UAT, and production deployments.
  • Manage update sets and release activities.
  • Provide post-go-live support and defect resolution
  • Willingness to travel a minimum of 20%.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • 3-5+ years of ServiceNow development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with HAM / HAM Pro.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) is required.
  • Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS-HAM) is highly preferred.
  • Strong scripting and Flow Designer experience.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, REST/SOAP APIs, and ServiceNow platform capabilities.
  • Solid understanding of CMDB, IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes, and best practices.

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience implementing ServiceNow HAM Pro advanced capabilities, including hardware lifecycle automation, asset audits, stockroom management, asset reclamation, and transfer orders.
  • Strong understanding of CI–Asset synchronization, reconciliation rules, IRE framework, and CMDB data governance best practices.
  • Experience integrating HAM with endpoint and discovery tools such as SCCM, Microsoft Intune, Jamf, Tanium, Nexthink, or ServiceNow Discovery.
  • Familiarity with procurement and financial integrations, including PO integrations (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Oracle), contract linkage, warranty tracking, and asset cost visibility.
  • Experience designing and implementing asset normalization, model management, and data quality controls.
  • Exposure to SAM Pro and understanding of how hardware lifecycle impacts software license compliance.
  • Hands-on experience working in large enterprise environments with multi-source data ingestion and high-volume asset records.
  • Experience in creation and modification of Access Controls (ACLs), Business Rules, Scripting, Ajax Query, Glide Scripting, Jelly Scripts, Java Scripting, UI Policies, Service Portals (Widgets, Server Scripting, Client Scripting, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, Portal Configuration), custom reports, dashboards, and Performance Analytics indicators for asset KPIs (inventory accuracy, refresh rate, warranty coverage, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes and how they intersect with Hardware Asset Management (Incident, Change, Procurement, Request).
  • ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CAD, CIS (HAM).
  • Experience with SDLC, Agile Scrum, SAFe, and Kanban methodologies. Excellent communication skills, team player, drives processes, and actively owns deliverables.

  • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business.  The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $55,400 to $113,000.  The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $66,600 to $128,500.  Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.  In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
  • Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
