At EY, we’re all in to shape your future with confidence.

We’ll help you succeed in a globally connected powerhouse of diverse teams and take your career wherever you want it to go. Join EY and help to build a better working world.

Our goal is to give clients a unique business perspective on how SAP technology can enhance their operations. By leveraging EY’s expertise in SAP, Supply Chain, FICO, BPC, Data & Analytics, Customer Solutions, Technology & Architecture, and SuccessFactors, we assist clients in enhancing performance and increasing productivity.

The Opportunity
Our SAP Procurement practice helps organizations modernize and optimize their source-to-pay operations through SAP S/4HANA. We work with clients to transform procurement processes, improve supplier collaboration, increase operational efficiency, and strengthen controls across purchasing, inventory management, and invoice processing.

As a Senior Technology Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You will interact with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring that newly implemented technology solutions meet their needs. Your collaboration with technical teams will be essential in designing and delivering effective system architecture solutions.

Your key responsibilities
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering top-notch business analysis and system configuration. Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Support SAP Procurement and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) workstreams within SAP S/4HANA implementation and transformation engagements.
  • Design and configure SAP Materials Management (MM) solutions across purchasing, inventory management, goods movements, and invoice verification processes.
  • Advise clients on procurement leading practices and SAP standard capabilities while balancing business requirements with scalable solutions.
  • Translating complex business requirements into detailed technical specifications
  • Develop functional specifications, process documentation, test scripts, training materials, and other project deliverables.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Sales to help deliver integrated business solutions.

Skills and attributes for success
On a typical engagement, you will work directly with procurement, supply chain, and finance leaders to understand business challenges and translate requirements into scalable SAP solutions. Success in this role requires a combination of functional procurement expertise, SAP configuration experience, and the ability to guide clients through large-scale transformation initiatives.

We are seeking professionals with demonstrated experience in one or more procurement specializations and an understanding of related end-to-end Procure-to-Pay processes.

Key skills include:

  • Deep understanding of Procure-to-Pay business processes and their integration points across the enterprise.
  • Experience designing SAP-enabled procurement solutions that balance business requirements with standard SAP functionality.
  • Ability to lead requirements gathering sessions, process design workshops, fit-gap assessments, and solution validation activities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex business and system challenges.
  • Proven ability to manage workstream deliverables, project risks, stakeholder expectations, and timelines.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and business audiences.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • A bachelor's degree with at least 2-4 years of SAP Procurement, Supply Chain, or consulting experience.
  • Experience supporting at least one full lifecycle SAP implementation, preferably an SAP S/4HANA transformation.
  • Hands-on experience in one or more SAP Procurement specializations, including:
    • SAP S/4HANA Procurement (Direct Materials)
    • SAP Invoice Management and Accounts Payable Integration
    • SAP Inventory Management
    • SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance (SLP), Strategic Sourcing, or Contracts
    • SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing
    • SAP Ariba Integration, including Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG)
  • Experience configuring SAP MM procurement processes, including material master, business partner (vendor), RFQs, contracts, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, approval workflows, output management, goods receipts, stock transport orders, ALE, and IDocs.
  • Experience in one or more SAP Ariba solutions, including Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance (SLP), Strategic Sourcing, Contracts, Buying and Invoicing, Supply Chain Collaboration, Commerce Automation, or Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG).
  • Knowledge of integration points with Accounts Payable, Production Planning, Sales & Distribution, and other related SAP modules.
  • Experience leading the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) workstream, including facilitating solution design workshops and developing proof of concepts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills.
  • Knowledge of leading practices, benchmarking, peer company environments and prior advisory experience relevant to industry specific finance and technology functions.
  • A flexibility and willingness to travel to meet client needs; travel is estimated at 40-60%.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Previous consulting experience within a professional services environment.
  • SAP S/4HANA Sourcing & Procurement certification or other relevant SAP certifications.
