Risk Management supports our people in managing the risks that arise during our daily working lives. We work closely with all parts of the organization to identify, manage and monitor risk, providing coordinated advice and assistance on independence, conflicts, compliance, regulatory, policy, security issues, as well as dealing with claims and any queries regarding ethics.

 

The opportunity

As an Intern supporting the Independence Compliance Audit group, you'll assist with auditing the personal financial independence of EY personnel and other Independence-related projects as needed to mitigate this area of risk for the firm.

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Interact with team members to complete projects and acquire subject matter knowledge
  • Attend internal and/or external meetings to gain an understanding of the client needs
  • Learn and use EY technology tools to contribute to the team’s project work
  • Use Microsoft technology suite of products to develop spreadsheets, power point and/or word documents
  • Take direction from others to enable independent work on assignments; report back as needed, to produce quality results
  • The Intern is expected to work 20 to 24 hours per week during the school year and 40 hours per week in the summer.  This could be a multi-year internship starting immediately.

To qualify, you’ll also have

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related business discipline
  • A GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Approximately 0-2 years of related work experience
 
What we offer
 
The salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $22.00/hr to $30.00/hr. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
