The opportunity

As our Full Stack Technical Lead you will lead the design, development, and delivery of modern cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with solution ownership, architecture contribution, and offshore team leadership.

This is a hybrid position based in Boorloo – Perth. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor an offshore team and high delivery standards.
• Drive solution design and architecture discussions, proposing scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
• Present architecture and design proposals at Design Council
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Architects, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Support estimation, sprint planning, technical governance, and production support activities.

Skills and attributes for success

• Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core, and .NET 8 for developing scalable, cloud-native applications and RESTful APIs.
• Strong experience with React.js, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend development practices.
• Proven experience designing and implementing Microservices Architecture.
• Strong understanding of:
• REST APIs
• Event-driven architecture
• Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Distributed systems design
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services including:
• Azure App Services
• Azure Functions
• Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Strong experience with Docker, containerisation, and cloud-native deployment patterns.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience with automated deployments, monitoring, logging, and release management.
• Strong experience with:
• Azure SQL Database
• PostgreSQL
• Azure Cosmos DB
• Solid understanding of data modelling, query optimisation, indexing strategies, scalability, and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of:
• SOLID principles
• Clean Architecture
• Secure coding practices
• Design patterns
• Test-driven development (TDD) using Play Wright
• Modern software engineering methodologies

Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.

• Experience using GitHub Copilot and Agentic AI tools to improve engineering productivity through code generation, documentation, refactoring, code reviews, and developer acceleration.
• Experience with asynchronous messaging and integration platforms including:
• Azure Service Bus
• Azure Event Hubs
• RabbitMQ
• ZeroMQ
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise integration solutions using event-driven and messaging patterns.
• Experience with multiple file ingestion and integration patterns, including:
• Streaming data ingestion
• Batch/file-based processing
• API-driven integrations
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams using Scrum or SAFe methodologies.
