Director - Supply Chain and Operations
The opportunity
As a Director in our Supply Chain & Operations competency, you’ll lead high-performing teams to solve complex challenges and drive performance improvement in mining, energy and infrastructure sectors across Oceania. EY’s Industrial and Energy segment is EY’s dedicated Market Segment for resources and heavy industry, comprising professionals with deep sector experience—ready to deliver real results. With technical expertise and insights, EY helps solve the hardest problems facing industrial and energy organisations in the region.
This position is based in Boorloo – Perth.
Your key responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver transformation programs that improve organisational performance through planning, operations, asset management and logistics functions.
- Translate strategy into actionable operating models and roadmaps.
- Engage senior client stakeholders to co-create solutions that unlock value.
- Mentor and coach colleagues and contribute to broader capability uplift across the EY Consulting business.
Skills and attributes for success
- Deep understanding of Supply Chain & Operations competencies and experience applying them in complex, asset intensive environments.
- 10+ years engineering experience in the energy sector, combined with 5+ years in the consulting industry, ideally with a Big 4 firm in Australia.
- Leadership experience in mining, energy, or resources, with ability to navigate strategic and operational landscapes.
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex ideas clearly.
- Experience in supply chain optimisation, operating model design, and process transformation.

- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
- Familiarity with Agile, Design Thinking, Lean, Six Sigma and tech-enabled transformation.
- Ability to lead proposals, shape growth strategies, and manage complex delivery.
- Passion for mentoring and developing consulting team talent.
