Back End Integration Developer – Senior Consultant
The opportunity
As our Back End Integration Developer, you’ll design, develop, and maintain integration solutions leveraging both Microsoft Azure services and Palantir Foundry capabilities and build and manage scalable, secure APIs and event-driven workflows to connect mobile apps with backend systems and enterprise platforms such as SAP.
This is a hybrid position based in Boorloo – Perth. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.
Your key responsibilities
- Build and manage scalable, secure APIs and event-driven workflows to connect mobile apps with backend systems and enterprise platforms such as SAP.
- Engage directly with client data requests and system owners to understand requirements and deliver effective integration solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain integration solutions leveraging both Microsoft Azure services and Palantir Foundry capabilities.
- Develop and maintain data engineering workflows within Foundry, including batch and streaming data pipelines.
- Manage integrations between Azure cloud services and Foundry platforms to enable efficient data flow and processing.
- Collaborate closely with full-stack developers, solution architects, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end integration solutions.
- Ensure secure data exchange between cloud, Foundry, and on-premises systems, adhering to enterprise security and compliance standards.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integration workflows and APIs to maintain high availability and performance.
- Support production environments with incident handling, bug fixes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills and attributes for success
- Familiarity with enterprise system integrations, particularly SAP.
- Experience with API development and management, event-driven architectures, and secure data exchange.
- Proven experience designing and implementing integration solutions using both Palantir Foundry and Microsoft Azure platforms.
- Strong skills in developing and managing batch and streaming data pipelines within Foundry and cloud environments.
- Proficiency in backend development and database management across cloud and Foundry platforms.
- Ability to engage with clients and system owners to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Comfortable working collaboratively in agile teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.
- Experience with Azure services such as API Management, Logic Apps, Function Apps, CosmosDB, and Azure SQL Database.
- Deep understanding of Foundry data engineering workflows and pipeline orchestration. Familiarity with messaging platforms like Azure Service Bus or Foundry event systems. Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in both Azure and Foundry environments.
- Experience with mobile app backend integration and data synchronization.
