Become a Financial Controller at EY and take on a crucial role in managing the financial operations of our organization. In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting while delivering strategic insights that drive informed business decisions. We seek a highly experienced and motivated individual to join our dynamic team. The position is located in Oslo, but as a part of our Nordic team you will collaborate with other departments to provide financial support and guidance for various projects and initiatives.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Financial Controller at EY you will:

• Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. 
• Ensurerobust internal controls and compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Analyze financial performance and provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Develop and implement financial strategies to support organizational goals and objectives.

Who are we looking for then?

We are looking for someone with a relevant higher education, ideally in accounting, business administration, or a similar field. You likely have 3-5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in a medium/large-sized corporation, and you’re familiar with ERP systems and financial software (e.g., SAP). Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are preferred.

To succeed in the role, it is advantageous that you have:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Interest in staying up-to date with accounting standards, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and best practices.
• Experience in managing cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of international financial regulations and compliance.
• Proven track record in financial management and reporting.
• Experience in coordinating external audits and managing financial compliance.
