Talent Senior Associate-Aruba
Job description
Are you ready to shape the future with confidence?
Will you shape the future, or will the future shape you? How will we work better together to build a better working world?
At EY, you'll have the opportunity to build a truly exceptional experience. We empower you with the latest technology, surround you with high-performing teams, and provide the global scale and diverse, inclusive culture you need to discover your full potential. Through our coaching and training programs, you'll develop the skills necessary to stay relevant today and in the future — all while building a network of colleagues, mentors, and leaders who will be on this journey with you at EY and beyond.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and people-oriented Senior Associate Talent to join our Talent team in Aruba. In this role you will support the employee lifecycle from onboarding through to offboarding, with a strong focus on Talent operations, employment documentation, performance and learning processes, and employee engagement across Aruba, Curaçao and Suriname. You will work closely with our Talent Leader and business leaders, taking ownership of your own portfolio of Talent activities while contributing to a positive and inclusive employee experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth, welcoming and well-organized experience for new joiners and leavers.
- Prepare and maintain employment documentation such as addenda, letters and personnel files, in line with local labour legislation.
- Support work permit, immigration and relocation processes for international hires in Aruba, Curaçao and Suriname.
- Maintain accurate Talent data and systems, ensuring data integrity and timely updates of employee records.
- Support the performance management cycle, including goal setting, review rounds, and follow-up on development actions.
- Coordinate learning and development activities, including scheduling trainings, tracking participation and monitoring compliance with mandatory learning.
- Support engagement, well-being and inclusiveness initiatives, and help organize team activities and internal Talent communications.
- Act as a first point of contact for employees on Talent-related questions, policies and procedures, escalating complex matters where appropriate.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Talent processes, policies and tools, and support local and regional Talent projects.
What We Look For:
- You have an agile, growth-oriented mindset. While your knowledge is important, the right mindset is crucial for success. We seek innovative individuals who can adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
- You are curious and purpose-driven. We value individuals who see opportunities instead of challenges and ask insightful questions to uncover better answers.
- You are inclusive. We appreciate team members who embrace diverse perspectives, value differences, and foster an environment of safety and trust.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
- Two to four years of relevant experience in an HR or Talent role, preferably within a professional services or multinational environment.
- Good working knowledge of local labour legislation and HR practices in Aruba, Curaçao and/or Suriname is a strong advantage.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English, Dutch and Papiamento; Spanish is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams); experience with HR systems is an advantage.
- High level of discretion, integrity and professionalism when handling confidential information.
- A proactive, hands-on team player who enjoys working with people and is comfortable taking ownership of their own portfolio.
What's In It For You:
- Accelerate your technical capabilities and transformative leadership skills with future-focused courses and development programs.
- Broaden your horizons by working on highly integrated teams across the globe and collaborating with people from diverse backgrounds — both professionally and culturally.
- Bring out the best in yourself with continuous investment in your personal well-being and career development.
- Develop your own personal purpose and help us create a positive ripple effect on our teams, our business, clients, and society.
