The opportunity 

Our Process and Controls practice, a specialty advisory group, provides comprehensive risk services through strategic, outsourcing, and operational recommendations. We help organizations evaluate and enhance their internal audit and risk management functions.

Your key responsibilities 

You will assist with planning and performing internal audit and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 404 procedures in accordance with the client’s audit plan, risk management strategy, and EY methodologies. You will work with high-performing teams and clients across multiple industries, with opportunities to support engagements in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications sector. As you build experience, you will develop into a trusted advisor to both team members and clients.

Skills and attributes for success 

On a typical day, you will:

• Establish audit objectives and develop audit approaches
• Perform analysis and prepare documentation
• Evaluate and test processes and related controls
• Assist in preparing audit reports

You will also stay informed on business and economic developments relevant to clients and demonstrate teamwork, integrity, and leadership while contributing to a collaborative and innovative environment.

To qualify for the role you must have:

• Bachelor's degree in business or related fields
• 1+ years of related audit, risk, and relevant business experience
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Willingness to travel outside of your assigned office location at least 50% of the time, plus commute within the region.
• Flexibility to work additional hours as needed. 
• Drivers license and valid passport required

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, business or a related discipline
• Around 1+ years of public accounting or risk consulting experience
• Experience working with clients in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) sector
• Familiarity with risks and controls related to technology platforms, digital operations, or data environments

• The salary range for this job is:
  • New York City, Boston, and Washington DC Metro Areas, Washington State, and Southern California offices – $83,700 to $125,700
  • Bay Area California offices – $87,200 to $130,900
  • All other offices locations in the US, including Sacramento – $69,700 to $115,200
• Individual salaries within these ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.  In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
