EY – GDS – Consulting – WAM Operations (Pan India)

As part of our EY - Business Consulting Team, you will be part of teams that help our Global Wealth, Asset Management and Investment Banking clients with scaling their Asset management and Capital market operations across their middle and back-office functions. This includes working with the clientele to setup their Global Delivery Centres and a reliable and scalable operating model that will enable their requirements and growth. Additionally, this role requires focus and contributions on Performance Improvement initiatives at an engagement/project level. This includes techno-functional role conducting finance processes assessments, deep diving and analysing pain areas and coming up with solutions.

The opportunity

We’re looking for Staff and or Sr. Consultants with expertise in trade matching and confirmations, position and cash reconciliations for Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Corporate Actions, Performance reporting etc. The opportunity will include taking transition and delivering on processes for clients on daily basis and working with market leading financial services institutions across the globe. key responsibilities

· Delivery of market facing and other operations, processes per client requirements/ SLAs

· Act as Subject Matter Expert on key client processes/sub processes and help the junior resources in their day-to-day deliverables

· Monitor unmatched or failed trades and proactively follow up with portfolio manager/custodian/brokers/counterparties to ensure timely affirmation and matching.

· Supervise small teams within a process and manage the delivery of the sub-process daily

· Ensure daily end of day sign offs on deliverables and KPIs

· Support and provide inputs on metrics and reporting (SLAs, KRIs and KPIs)

· Document processes, standard operating procedures, checklists and get them signed off by the leadership/clients and ensure implementation of the same by the team

· Identify and provide inputs for process improvements, efficiencies, automation etc

· Support Core Publics Daily BAU (Eagle) & Support LevFin Daily BAU (Factset)

· Produce recurring and ad hoc reporting to support a broad array of business requirements and use cases

· Investigate and answer questions from internal stakeholders related to performance calculation methods and reporting observations

· Build and maintain constructive working relationships with internal stakeholders

· Escalate risks promptly and participate in resolution actions

· Contribute to the upkeep of procedural documentation

· Identify improvements to create scale, reduce risk and add value

· Participating in cross-functional working groups and project teams

Skills and attributes for success

· Sound knowledge of Capital Markets and exposure to Asset Management and Investment Banking operations

· Good proficiency in at least one middle/back-office function (Trade matching / confirmation, Position and Cash Reconciliation (cash, securities, interest, Dividends), Derivatives processing etc)

· Proficiency in English (oral and written)

· Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations

· Capability to support others and help them in their day-to-day tasks

· Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others

· Support Core Publics Daily BAU (Eagle) & Support LevFin Daily BAU (Factset)

To qualify for the role, you must have

· Graduation / post-graduation in commerce/finance, MBA (Finance)

· 2-8 years of experience in wealth & asset management or investment banking and capital market operations

· Equity, fixed income (Position and cash reconciliation, Performance reporting).

· Tools - Eagle or Factset exeperice

· Strong communication and MS office (Excel, word etc.) skills.
