Manager - Business Continuity Management (BCM)

 

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Continuity Manager to lead Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) implementation, maturity assessments, resilience programs, and crisis management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in developing and managing enterprise BCM programs, conducting assessments, driving continuous improvement, and advising clients on resilience strategies.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead BCMS implementation and enhancement across organizational, regional, and client environments.
  • Manage Business Impact Assessments (BIA), Risk Assessments, and continuity strategy development.
  • Establish BCM governance, policies, standards, and resilience roadmaps.
  • Drive BCM standardization across multiple locations, functions, and clients.
  • Lead BCM maturity assessments, gap assessments, and resilience reviews.
  • Oversee continuity plan development, testing, exercises, and validation activities.
  • Manage BCMS training, awareness, and stakeholder engagement programs.
  • Monitor BCM KPIs, governance metrics, and remediation plans.
  • Lead incident response, crisis management, and recovery coordination activities.
  • Support internal and external audits, including ISO 22301 compliance and certification initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain Emergency Response, Crisis Management, and Operational Resilience frameworks.
  • Facilitate executive workshops, stakeholder interviews, and resilience strategy discussions.
  • Support proposals, solutioning, business development, and consulting engagements.
  • Mentor team members and provide delivery oversight.

 

Required Experience

  • 10-15 years of experience in Business Continuity Management, Operational Resilience, Disaster Recovery, or Crisis Management.
  • Proven experience implementing and managing enterprise BCMS programs.
  • Strong experience conducting BIAs, Risk Assessments, BCM maturity assessments, and resilience reviews.
  • Experience developing BCM strategies, governance frameworks, policies, standards, and roadmaps.
  • Experience leading BCM exercises, recovery testing, crisis simulations, and response activities.
  • Strong understanding of Emergency Response, Crisis Management, and Operational Resilience principles.
  • Experience supporting ISO 22301 audits, certifications, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders, locations, functions, and client engagements.
  • Prior experience leading teams, projects, and large-scale BCM initiatives.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as CBCP, MBCI, ISO 22301 Lead Implementer/Auditor, DRII, BCI, or BSI certifications.
  • Knowledge of resilience and regulatory frameworks such as ISO 22301, NCEMA 7000, SAMA, and related standards is desirable.
  • Strong project management, analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead programs, manage timelines, and deliver results in a consulting environment.
