Job Description: Enterprise Architect Manager (EA Tooling)
Role Overview
Experience: 8 – 14 Years | Certification: TOGAF (Level 2 Mandatory)
The Enterprise Architect – EA Tooling Manager will lead the strategy, implementation, and enterprise-wide adoption of EA tooling (e.g., LeanIX, Ardoq, Sparx EA). The role focuses on enabling a data-driven architecture practice, improving visibility into business capabilities, applications, and technology landscapes, and aligning IT execution with business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
EA Tooling Strategy & Implementation
- Lead selection, implementation, and scaling of EA tooling platforms.
- Define EA tooling roadmap, operating model, and governance standards.
- Establish EA repository as a single source of truth by integrating with CMDB, BPM (Signavio/ARIS/Celonis), HR, and finance systems.
- Define and govern metamodels, taxonomy, and data standards.
- Enable dashboards, reporting, and automation of architecture processes.
Enterprise Architecture & Governance
- Develop and maintain target-state architecture aligned with TOGAF.
- Lead Architecture Review Board (ARB) and Technology Review Board (TRB).
- Drive application portfolio management, lifecycle governance, and rationalization.
- Support capability-based planning and investment prioritization.
Leadership & Delivery
- Lead and mentor a team of architects and EA tooling specialists.
- Establish best practices, standards, and adoption playbooks.
- Drive organization-wide adoption and change management.
Technology & Integration
- Oversee integrations using APIs, data pipelines, and automation.
- Guide development of scripts/automation to improve tool adoption and data quality.
- Ensure alignment with cloud, microservices, and modern data architectures.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with C-level stakeholders to align IT strategy with business goals.
- Communicate EA insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Collaborate with consulting partners and cross-functional teams.
Qualifications & Competencies
Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Certification: TOGAF Level 2 – Mandatory. EA tooling Certification (LeanIX / Ardoq)
Experience:
- 8–14 years of IT experience with 3+ years in enterprise architecture roles.
- Strong experience in EA tooling implementation and adoption.
- Hands-on expertise with LeanIX / Ardoq / Sparx EA. Consulting experience desirable.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of EA frameworks (TOGAF), governance, and capability-based planning.
- Expertise in EA tools, metamodeling, and repository management. Good understanding of IT strategy and transformation roadmaps.
- Knowledge of APIs, microservices, and cloud architectures.
Soft Skills:
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication.
