Cloud Infrastructure Engineer – AWS & Azure
Number of Positions: 1 | Experience: 5–8 years| Location: Bengaluru
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with strong experience in AWS and working knowledge of Azure to design, provision, automate, and support scalable cloud infrastructure for enterprise workloads.
The role requires practical expertise in Infrastructure as Code, container orchestration, CI/CD automation, cloud operations, monitoring, troubleshooting, and cost-aware infrastructure management, with a strong focus on reliability, security, and delivery quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, provision, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS as the primary platform and Azure as the secondary platform.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to enable repeatable, secure, and auditable deployments.
- Build, manage, and support Kubernetes-based container platforms, including deployments, scaling, configuration, and operational troubleshooting.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment and infrastructure delivery workflows.
- Automate operational tasks using Python, Bash, or Shell scripting to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
- Integrate cloud infrastructure with enterprise networking, IAM, security, monitoring, logging, and DevOps toolchains.
- Monitor platform health, troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and support continuous service improvement.
- Ensure infrastructure is resilient, secure, compliant, cost-aware, and aligned with enterprise architecture and operational standards.
Required Skills and Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, CloudOps, DevOps, or platform engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services; working knowledge of Azure services is required/preferred based on project needs.
- Practical experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized workload operations.
- Strong experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and environment automation.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or equivalent platforms.
- Proficiency in Python and scripting languages such as Bash or Shell for automation and operational tooling.
- Good understanding of cloud networking, IAM, security groups, VPC/VNet, load balancing, monitoring, logging, and access controls.
- Experience in troubleshooting infrastructure issues, deployment failures, distributed systems, and performance bottlenecks.
- Awareness of cloud governance, security, compliance, cost optimization, and operational best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, collaboration, and stakeholder communication skills.
Qualification and Certifications
- B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Relevant certifications in AWS, Microsoft Azure, Terraform, Kubernetes, or DevOps will be an added advantage.
- Strong commitment to continuous learning and staying current with cloud, DevOps, and platform engineering practices.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Exposure to GCP cloud services and multi-cloud operating models.
- Knowledge of cloud security, IAM, compliance, governance, and policy-based controls.
- Experience with AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, budgeting, tagging, and FinOps practices.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and Azure Monitor.
- Exposure to DevOps best practices, platform engineering, release management, and operational automation.
Working Expectations
- Collaborate effectively with architecture, engineering, security, application, and operations teams.
- Maintain clear documentation for infrastructure design, deployment steps, SOPs, runbooks, and automation scripts.
- Demonstrate ownership in resolving issues, improving reliability, and enhancing automation across cloud platforms.
