Job Title: DC Exit & Cloud Migration Consultant - Senior

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled DC Exit & Cloud Migration Senior Consultant with 6+ years of strong experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure modernization, datacenter transformation, and cloud migration initiatives across enterprise environments. The role focuses on planning, assessing, designing, and executing datacenter exit and cloud migration programs to accelerate application modernization, infrastructure optimization, operational resilience, and cloud adoption for enterprise clients.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on cloud engineering expertise combined with consulting experience and the ability to drive migration assessments, transformation roadmaps, proof-of-concepts, and migration execution across complex hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, design, and execute datacenter exit and cloud migration strategies for enterprise applications, infrastructure, databases, and platforms.
  • Perform application portfolio assessments and define migration approaches including Rehost, Replatform, Refactor, Retain, Retire, and Replace strategies.
  • Develop cloud migration roadmaps, transformation plans, landing zones, and migration wave planning for enterprise clients.
  • Strong competency in cloud engineering across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments, including infrastructure provisioning, modernization, and workload migration.
  • Design and implement cloud-native architectures leveraging compute, storage, networking, security, containers, and platform services.
  • Support migration discovery, dependency mapping, infrastructure assessment, capacity planning, and migration readiness activities.
  • Develop automation solutions using Terraform, Python, PowerShell, Shell scripting, and Infrastructure as Code principles to accelerate migration programs.
  • Execute application, server, database, storage, and platform migrations while ensuring business continuity and operational stability.
  • Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, networking, and operations teams to align migration initiatives with enterprise governance standards.
  • Support cloud modernization initiatives involving containers, Kubernetes, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and Platform Engineering practices.
  • Design and execute migration proof-of-concepts (PoCs), pilot migrations, validation activities, and cloud transformation assessments.
  • Develop migration dashboards, reporting frameworks, business cases, and executive presentations to support client engagements.
  • Provide technical advisory support on cloud adoption, application modernization, landing zone architecture, cloud governance, and migration best practices.
  • Support cloud cost optimization, operational readiness, resiliency planning, and post-migration stabilization activities.

 

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Transformation, Datacenter Migration, Cloud Migration, and Technology Delivery.
  • Strong understanding of datacenter exit strategies, cloud migration methodologies, and application modernization principles.
  • Experience designing and executing migrations to Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, networking, storage, security, and identity management.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms including VMware and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of migration assessment, dependency mapping, migration planning, and workload transformation frameworks.
  • Experience working with Infrastructure as Code, automation frameworks, and cloud engineering practices.
  • Experience working in client-facing consulting, advisory, or cloud transformation engagements.
  • Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

 

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong expertise in cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience with cloud migration services including Azure Migrate, AWS Migration Hub, CloudEndure, Azure Site Recovery, AWS Application Migration Service (MGN), and related migration tools.
  • Strong competency in infrastructure assessment, dependency mapping, migration planning, and workload transformation methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Python, PowerShell, Shell Scripting, and Infrastructure Automation.
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ARM Templates, Bicep, CloudFormation, or similar technologies.
  • Strong understanding of compute, storage, networking, identity, security, backup, and disaster recovery services across cloud platforms.
  • Experience with virtualization and hybrid cloud technologies including VMware, Hyper-V, and container-based platforms.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
  • Strong competency in DevOps and CI/CD tools including Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Git, and automation frameworks.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, and Cosmos DB.
  • Understanding of cloud governance, landing zones, operational readiness, observability, and cloud security best practices.
  • Experience supporting application modernization, platform transformation, and cloud-native adoption initiatives.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms such as Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, Dynatrace, Datadog, Splunk, and Grafana.
