EY- Strategy and Transaction – Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy  

Within SaT, the TRS services helps clients deal with different forms of threats including economic change, competitor innovation, capital constraints, operational challenges, etc

The EY global network of restructuring professionals, along with our transaction and sector professionals, have experience with some of the largest and most complex in and out-of-court restructuring situations. We work with a variety of stakeholders to provide leadership and actionable advice to identify financial and operational strategies to generate liquidity, improve earnings and extract value across underperforming, stressed and distressed businesses.

 

The opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior Analyst with expertise in insolvencies to join EY-TRS team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm and develop your career through a broad scope of engagements, mentoring, and learning & development.

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with onshore team members to manage and execute insolvency engagements, including administrations, liquidations, and receiverships
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation for stakeholders, including creditors and court submissions
  • Work on insolvency cases from inception to completion
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory frameworks and adherence to regional practices
  • Monitor and control budgets, project plans and resources to ensure all work is completed to high standards, on time and within budget.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, contributing to their professional development
  • Contribute to improving insolvency processes and procedures to maintain efficiency within the department.

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Strong knowledge of insolvency laws, practices, and procedures.
  • Outstanding analytical, problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
  • Commercially aware, with an understanding of the key business drivers and potential risks involved in insolvency cases.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure, with a highly self-motivated, resilient and proactive approach.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and proficient in utilizing financial software packages.
  • Possession of or working towards an Insolvency Practitioner’s License would be advantageous.

 

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Chartered Accountancy/ MBA in Finance from a premiere institute
  • Certified Insolvency Professional – Preference, not a Mandate
  • 3+ years of PQE in:
  • Insolvency firms that specialize in providing services related to insolvency, bankruptcy, restructuring, and financial advisory
  • Management Consultancy firms and Big 4’s
  • Large Indian corporates with exposure in restructuring activities, analytics, and corporate finance role 
  • Exposure to IBC or equivalent code
