EY- Strategy and Transaction – TSE – Finance & Accounting – Assistant Manager (Global Capability center/Shared Service Center)
Within SaT, TSE team services clients with a full range of hands-on, operationally focused support and advice across the transaction life cycle, across buyers and sellers. We cover a wide range of operational aspects, including divestiture advisory services, carve-out readiness and support, operational due diligence, synergy assessment and delivery, day-one readiness assessment, 100day planning, integration process support, carve-out/stand-alone costs assessment and risks, and cost reduction.
Our professionals work on transactions and business development across the globe.
The opportunity
We’re looking for Assistant Manager with expertise in Finance Transformation with exposure in M&A life cycle, carve-out / integration. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm and develop your career through a broad scope of engagements, mentoring, and learning & development.
Your roles & responsibilities
- Managing transformation and transaction programs in areas like strategic planning, design, implementation, regular operations, change management and adoption.
- Delivering high-quality advisory and consulting services to major clients, utilizing a practical business-focused approach.
- Providing business advisory to client for setting up of new Finance & Accounting Global Competency Centres/ Shared Service Centres/ Centre of Excellence
- Drive transformation management office initiatives, as well as process improvement strategies for Finance & Accounting operations
- Understanding and mapping end-to-end finance functions such as Record to Report, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay processes. Experience in creating Level 1 to Level 5 ‘As-Is’ and ‘To-Be’ processes
- Project execution, project management, problem-solving, and facilitation, as well as creating high-impact presentations for senior executive meetings.
- Finding business development opportunities, helping Partners and Senior Managers with proposals and identifying new business opportunities.
- Building relationships with offices across the globe, understanding regional practices, and ensuring high user satisfaction.
- Mentoring a team of TSE professionals, conducting performance reviews, and providing feedback and training to foster their professional development.
- Embodying leadership qualities and leading by example.
Skills and attributes for success
Possess financial analysis experience from a number of pre- and post-deal transactions, with the ability to link detailed operational analysis to P&L, cash flow and balance sheet
- Proficiency in financial functional processes such as Record to Report (R2R), Order to Cash (O2C), Procure to Pay (P2P) and Treasury, including an understanding of the technology landscape in Finance & Accounting.
- Experience with digital interventions, intelligent automation, and advanced analytical solutions used in Finance & Accounting, such as Alteryx, PowerBI, MS Visio, Python, Celonis, Python
- Familiarity with working on transformation projects alongside global capability leads.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, project management skills, and facilitation techniques, alongside good interpersonal skills.
- The ability to influence others and drive them toward achieving a common objective or goal.
- Consulting experience, although not necessary, would be considered a valuable asset.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Post Graduate degree in business, accounting, finance or related field from a premier institute
- 5-7 years of work experience in experience in process assessment assignments/consulting work
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Project management skills
- Strong written verbal communication & presentation skills
- Confident, proactive self-starters with team management skills
