If you have hands-on experience for Aria Billing Cloud, it will be an added advantage.
You will work with a strong focus on providing managed services and stable production operations of deployed billing platforms. You will work with telecom customer’s business, IT, finance, operations and vendor teams to translate business requirements into practical billing processes and solution designs.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Act as the telecom billing-domain specialist across production support, managed services, consulting, implementation and migration engagements. Hands-on experience in Aria Billing Cloud will be a definitive advantage.
- Investigate production billing issues, perform root-cause analysis and coordinate resolution across product, integration, data and operations teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve billing accuracy, operational efficiency, revenue assurance, customer experience and time to market.
- Work effectively with client stakeholders, product vendors, system integrators and distributed delivery teams.
- Conduct stakeholder workshops and document as-is and to-be billing processes, requirements, pain points, controls and business rules.
- Translate business requirements into functional designs, user stories, configuration requirements, interface requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Support billing transformation decisions covering platform consolidation, legacy modernization, product and pricing migration, integration rationalization and phased decommissioning.
- Define and review migration requirements for customer accounts, billing accounts, products, services, balances, open items and billing history.
- Support data mapping, cleansing, reconciliation, mock migration, parallel billing, cutover and post-migration validation activities.
- Define and deliver solution designs, interface specifications, test strategies, test cases and migration-reconciliation reports for billing completeness and accuracy.
- Support system integration testing, end-to-end testing, user acceptance testing, bill validation, cutover rehearsals and production support.
Skills and attributes for success
- 4–8 years of experience in telecom BSS, with significant techno-functional, hands-on experience in billing and revenue management.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major billing platform such as Aria Billing Cloud, Ericsson Billing, Netcracker Revenue Management or an equivalent platform. Hands-on experience on Aria Billing will be a definitive advantage.
- Strong understanding of the telecom billing lifecycle, including customer and billing-account management, product and pricing configuration, usage processing, rating, recurring and one-time charges, bill calculation, invoicing, taxation, payments, adjustments, collections and dunning.
- Hands-on proficiency in Java, XML, SQL, APIs, data-analysis tools and cloud environments is required.
- Should be willing to work in shifts

- Knowledge of billing data profiling, mapping, cleansing, mock migrations, financial reconciliation, parallel billing, fallout management and cutover validation.
- Experience in production support or managed services for billing products, including incident, problem, change and release management; bill-cycle monitoring; root-cause analysis; defect resolution; and SLA-based support.
- Understanding of integrations between billing and CRM, order management, mediation, charging, product catalog, payment, tax, ERP/general ledger, customer-care and reporting platforms.
- Working knowledge of TM Forum eTOM, SID, Open Digital Architecture and Open APIs, particularly billing-account and customer-bill management.
- Experience preparing functional specifications, process flows, business requirements, user stories, solution-design inputs and test scenarios.
- Experience in leveraging latest AI tools to deliver projects within time, budget and quality.
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, business systems or a related discipline.
- Relevant TM Forum or billing-product certifications are an advantage.
