The Opportunity

 

As an SAP TM Technical expert, you will be responsible for leading the technical architecture, development and integration of SAP Transportation Management within S/4HANA or standalone TM. This role leads technical designs, oversees development teams, ensures adherence to development standards, and supports complex enhancements, performance optimization, and interface enablement. The consultant participates in assessment of client business problems, conducting the analysis to solve the problems or pain points, administration of engagement activities while contributing to practice growth and innovation.

 

 

Your Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develop, test and deploy SAP TM and ABAP solutions based on the design from the Solution Architect and at the same time be able to support successful implementation and transition to the application support team Work as part of the SAP
  • Understand internal business pain areas and provide insight to enhance the development pipelines and provide design solutions for integrating other non-SAP applications
  • Be at the forefront of exploring new SAP Technologies, a quick learner willing to learn new technologies and methodologies; maintains current knowledge of industry trends and standards
  • Build and maintain a solid understanding of the application areas and the business areas
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the SAP TM module or integrations with SAP TM.
  • Collaborate with Functional counterpart and cross module team(s) for targeted outcomes
  • Adhere to standard best practices for code and deadlines by ensuring quality deliverables
  • Provide technical guidance and support for SAP TM-related projects
  • Conduct system testing and user training to ensure effective utilization of SAP TM
  • Monitor system performance and make necessary adjustments to improve efficiency
  • Stay updated on the latest SAP TM features and best practices
  • Good communication skills as the job require a high degree of verbal and written communication
  • Be highly motivated, hardworking, and possess good time management
  • Exposure to delivering projects in an Agile framework is advantageous to SAP
  • Certifications relevant to SAP TM would be nice to have

 

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

Technical and Professional Requirements:

 

  • 4-5 years of experience in implementation, support and upgrade projects in SAP TM
  • Must have worked in one or more E2E implementation, integration, testing and application support in S/4HANA embedded TM and SAP TM (latest versions)
  • Ability to interact with other cross functional teams from modules like OTC, EWM for integration scenario
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills for co-ordinating across teams

 

 

Technical Skills

 

  • Must have expertise in ABAP OO, BOPF, FPM, FBI and should have worked on POWL, PPF, PCF, Conditions
  • Must be expert in BOPF framework along with consumer implementation and Enhancement workbench
  • Should be having deep knowledge in SAP TM architecture, frameworks, enhancement points and BAdIs
  • Should have expertise in Business Objects Node elements such as Determination, Action, Validation etc. along with logic building around Business Object instance modification, Charge Management frameworks and Strategies
  • Strong ALE/IDoc experience and CPI/PI integration concepts
  • Nice to have knowledge in Fiori/UI5, OData, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, RESTful services, CDS, AMDP, and data modelling in S/4HANA, RISE with SAP, Cloud ALM, TM extensibility using SAP BTP, RAP model, and Cloud SDK wherever applicable
  • Proven ability to lead technical workstreams
  • Actively pursuing continuous learning to constantly update skills and adhering to current standards in the industry

 

 

To qualify for the role, you must have

 

  • Degree in Engineering or master’s degree or MBA in Supply Chain Area
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in SAP TM
  • Desired to have SAP certification on SAP TM
  • Having experience of working in integration area of SAP TM and other areas
