Global Delivery Services refers to EY's worldwide network of service delivery centers. The GDS team plays an important role in EY’s strategy by ensuring effective support to EY’s growth agenda.

Enablement Services provides cost-effective, high-skilled, and innovative services to support EY’s global and local enablement teams. Markets, BMC, AWS, Finance and Accounting, Risk Management, Procurement, People Shared Services, IT Service Delivery and IT Global Infrastructure services, are among the services offered by Enablement Services.

Our innovation specialists serve the GDS Client Service and Enablement Services teams, along with Service Lines, Core Business Services and Sectors. The Opportunity

As a Senior Manager overseeing SAP SD, you will provide strategic leadership in shaping and optimizing sales and distribution initiatives across the organization. Your responsibilities include steering the configuration, deployment, and sustained advancement of SAP SD module, aligning technology solutions with business objectives to drive enterprise-wide growth. This role is best suited for accomplished professionals with over 13 years of experience who excel at guiding high-impact projects, influencing decision-making at the executive level, and fostering collaboration within cross-functional leadership teams.

 

Your Key Responsibilities

    • Provide strategic oversight and direction for Sales and Distribution (SD) operations, utilising SAP core functionalities to drive organisational efficiency and growth.
    • Lead the development of high-level functional specifications for business-critical projects, ensuring they align with broader corporate objectives.
    • Assess and refine business processes to support optimal project execution and facilitate effective enterprise-wide knowledge transfer.

 

Skills and attributes for success

    • Demonstrated mastery of SAP SD module, encompassing advanced knowledge in Sales, Shipping, Billing, Pricing, Credit Management, Outputs, and all essential functionalities necessary for strategic oversight.
    • Proven track record in developing comprehensive functional specifications to guide complex development initiatives, ensuring alignment with business strategy.
    • Successfully managed at least two end-to-end SAP SD implementation projects, demonstrating leadership in delivering business transformation.
    • Holding SAP SD certification is highly regarded and serves as a distinguishing asset.
    • Extensive experience in SAP SD configuration, including oversight of Third-Party processes, Individual Purchase Orders, Sales BOM, Variant Configuration, and advanced S/4 HANA submodules such as Advanced ATP, Returns Management, Settlement Management, and interface integration.
    • Strategic familiarity with technical tools including IDOCs, LSMW, Batch Jobs, and SAP Queries to support operational excellence.
    • Comprehensive understanding of Order to Cash processes, including Make-to-Order and Make-to-Stock scenarios, with substantial experience leading SAP SD implementation and support engagements.
    • Comprehensive expertise in SAP SD integration with modules including FICO, MM/LES, QM, WM, and PP, facilitating smooth enterprise-wide operational processes.
    • Experience in mapping and documenting business processes to facilitate strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
    • Strategic insight into integration with Customer Service processes, including repair sales and warranty management, to enhance customer satisfaction and service delivery.
    • Basic proficiency in ABAP, including experience with function modules and ABAP debugging, supporting effective technical management.
    • Proficient in engaging stakeholders for requirements gathering and preparing unit test case documentation, ensuring high-quality project outcomes.
    • Relevant industry domain experience is crucial for providing strategic direction and contextual leadership.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, essential for influencing stakeholders and presenting at the executive level.
    • Experience managing global projects, bringing an international perspective and strategic vision to the role.
    • Ability to lead and facilitate both functional and technical discussions, driving consensus and strategic outcomes.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, with the capacity to operate independently and provide leadership with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to oversee and direct engagements across the entire project lifecycle, ensuring delivery of strategic objectives.
    • Experienced in partnering closely with Solution and Project Teams to ensure seamless transition and implementation of new solutions, contributing to both local and global development initiatives.
    • Collaborative team leader with a creative problem-solving approach, fostering innovation within cross-functional teams.
    • Exhibits strong initiative and creativity in managing work assignments, driving continuous improvement and strategic growth.
