The Opportunity

 

You will be part of a fast growing SAP PaPM (Profitability and Performance Management) Center of Excellence, specializing in digital transformation and financial performance management across multiple industries. Our team partners with global clients to modernize legacy finance, profitability, and performance management landscapes using SAP PaPM, SAP HANA, and next generation analytics platforms.

 

As a SAP PaPM Consultant (Manager), you will provide strategic, architectural, and technical leadership for SAP PaPM implementations. This role combines deep SAP PaPM and SAP HANA expertise, solution architecture ownership, and people leadership, delivering high performance profitability and performance management solutions at enterprise scale.

 

 

Your Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead enterprise wide SAP PaPM programs and digital transformation initiatives
  • Partner with senior Finance, Risk, and IT stakeholders to define solution roadmap and strategy
  • Own and deliver high quality end to end lifecycle delivery:
    • Requirements → Design → Build → Test → Deploy → Support
  • Provide architectural oversight across:
    • SAP PaPM On Premise
    • Standard Model
    • Universal Model implementations
    • Work closely with Finance, Risk, Data, HANA, and Basis teams
    • Translate complex business, finance, and regulatory requirements into scalable PaPM technical and architectural designs
    • Manage, mentor, and grow PaPM development and delivery teams
  • Drive optimization strategies across:
    • Runtime performance
    • Large data volumes
    • Parallel execution and scalability
  • Act as escalation point for complex:
    • PaPM modelling challenges
    • HANA performance and debugging issues
  • Support pre sales and business development activities, including:
    • Solution architecture and design
    • Effort estimation and technical proposals
    • Client presentations, demos, and RFP responses

 

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

  • 8–12 years of relevant experience in SAP PaPM, with 4–6 end to end implementation projects
  • Strong hands on and architectural expertise in:
    • SAP PaPM modelling and execution framework
    • SAP HANA SQL, SQLScript, stored procedures, and debugging
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Financial modelling
    • Profitability and performance management frameworks
    • Costing and allocation methodologies
  • Proven experience leading:
    • Large scale SAP PaPM implementations
    • Multi team and multi region delivery models
  • Technical or functional exposure to secondary skill areas such as:
    • SAP Native HANA
    • SAP Datasphere
    • SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
    • SAP Finance & Controlling (ECC / S/4HANA)
    • SAP BW/4HANA

  • Strong business acumen with executive level communication capabilities
  • SAP certifications in PaPM, HANA, SAC, or S/4HANA Finance (preferred)
