The Opportunity

As an SAP SD Senior Consultant, you will deliver end-to-end solutions across Sales and Distribution processes, encompassing configuration, implementation, and application support to enhance operational efficiency and enable business growth.

This role is well suited for professionals with 3–7 years of experience who thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy delivering high-impact SAP initiatives. The position requires strong functional leadership, deep expertise in Industry Solution – Oil & Gas, and the ability to translate business strategy into scalable, high-impact SAP solutions, while engaging effectively with senior business and IT stakeholders.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Lead solution design with a strong focus on Downstream Oil & Gas business processes and industry best practices
• Prepare comprehensive functional specifications for development objects, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
• Map and document business processes to facilitate smooth project execution and knowledge transfer.

Skills and attributes for success

• Comprehensive knowledge of SAP SD module, including Sales, Shipping, Billing, Pricing, Credit Management, Outputs, and core functionalities.
• Lead solution design with a strong focus on Downstream Oil & Gas business processes and industry best practices
• Support industry‑specific Oil & Gas requirements such as exchange agreements, throughput agreements, and customer‑specific pricing models
• Translate complex Oil & Gas business requirements into scalable, high‑impact SAP S/4HANA solutions
• Collaborate closely with MM, FI, IS‑Oil, and logistics teams to ensure seamless end‑to‑end downstream integration
• Guide and mentor project teams, ensuring design consistency, quality standards, and SAP best practices
• Proven experience in preparing detailed functional specifications for development requirements.
• Completed at least two end-to-end SAP SD implementation projects.
• SAP SD certification is highly desirable and will be considered an added advantage.
• Skilled in SAP SD configuration, including Third Party process, Individual Purchase Orders, Sales BOM, and Variant Configuration. Experienced with S/4 HANA advance submodules like Advanced ATP, Advance Returns Management, Settlement Management, and Interfaces.
• Hands-on experience with IDOCs, LSMW, Batch Jobs, and SAP Queries.
• Strong Order to Cash process exposure (including Make-to-Order and Make-to-Stock scenarios); prior experience as a lead consultant in SAP SD implementation or support projects.
• Good understanding of integration with other SAP modules such as FICO, MM/LES, QM, WM and PP.
• Experience in business process mapping and documentation.
• Knowledge of integration with Customer Service processes (repair sales, warranty management).
• Basic proficiency in ABAP, including working with function modules and ABAP debugging.
• Ability to interact with end-users to gather requirements and prepare unit test case documentation.
• Relevant industry domain experience is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in handling global assignments will be an added benefit.
• Capable of driving both functional and technical discussions effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently.
• Responsible for managing engagements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with Solution/Project Teams to ensure smooth transition of new solutions; participate in local and global development initiatives as required.
• Team player with a collaborative and creative approach to problem-solving.
• Demonstrates a high degree of initiative and creativity in work assignments.
