The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced SAP FI Functional Architect to lead the design, solutioning, and delivery of SAP Finance solutions for large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programs. The candidate will be responsible for defining the overall Finance solution architecture, driving business process design, managing integrations with upstream and downstream modules, and ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.

The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in SAP Financial Accounting, SAP S/4HANA Finance, global finance processes, solution design, stakeholder management, and implementation governance.

Your Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design

• Lead SAP FI solution architecture for SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.
• Design end-to-end Finance processes aligned to business requirements and SAP best practices.
• Define Finance target-state architecture, including enterprise structure and financial reporting framework.
• Conduct fit-gap analysis and recommend optimal SAP standard solutions.
• Drive SAP Activate methodology deliverables across Explore, Realize, Deploy, and Hypercare phases.

• Design Universal Journal architecture.
• Define migration strategy from ECC FI to S/4HANA Finance.
• Support Finance simplification item assessment and readiness activities.
• Evaluate and recommend SAP best practices and innovations.

Integration Management

• Drive integration design with:
  • SAP CO
  • SAP MM
  • SAP SD
  • SAP Project Systems (PS)
  • SAP EPPM
  • SAP Treasury
  • SAP SuccessFactors Payroll
  • SAP Ariba
  • Third-party banking and tax systems

Data Migration & Testing

• Support Finance data migration strategy and execution.
• Define migration scope for master and transactional data.
• Lead data validation and reconciliation activities.
• Support SIT, UAT, Regression Testing, and Cutover activities.
• Ensure audit readiness and financial data integrity.

Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with CFO organization, Finance Controllers, Accounting teams, and business stakeholders.
• Facilitate workshops and design sessions.
• Present solution options and recommendations to leadership teams.
• Manage client escalations and issue resolution.

Governance & Delivery

• Review functional specifications and development objects.
• Guide offshore delivery teams.
• Ensure compliance with project governance and quality standards.
• Support cutover planning, hypercare, and stabilization activities.

Ideally, You'll Also Have

• Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related field.
• CA / CMA / CPA qualification is an added advantage.
• SAP FI/FIN certification preferred.
• SAP S/4HANA Finance certification preferred.

What We Look For

• 8+ Years hands-on experience in SAP Finance (FI) with at least 2-3 end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation programs
• Experience in large-scale global SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.
• Experience in Manufacturing, Aerospace, MRO, Oil & Gas, Utilities, Retail, or Consumer Products industries.
• Experience leading global template design and rollout programs.
• Experience working with multinational clients and distributed teams.
• Exposure to SAP RISE and Cloud transformation programs.
