Global Delivery Services refers to EY's worldwide network of service delivery centers. The GDS team plays an important role in EY’s strategy by ensuring effective support to EY’s growth agenda.

Senior Consultant - SAP Finance (Brownfield Conversion ECC to S/4HANA)
The Opportunity
- Join a high-performing SAP transformation team delivering large-scale SAP S/4HANA Finance conversion programmes for global clients.
- Play a key role in end-to-end Brownfield conversions from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, driving finance transformation while ensuring business continuity and compliance.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, technical teams and leadership to design and implement future-ready finance solutions.
- Contribute to complex digital transformation engagements involving Finance simplification, Central Finance, Universal Journal, reporting transformation and process harmonisation.
- Gain exposure to global delivery models, cutting-edge SAP innovations and industry-leading implementation methodologies.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead SAP Finance workstreams in ECC to S/4HANA Brownfield conversion projects.
- Perform impact assessments and fit-gap analyses for Finance processes during S/4HANA transformation initiatives.
- Design and implement solutions across key SAP Finance areas including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting and Cost Centre Accounting.
- Assess and implement S/4HANA Finance simplification items and ensure business process readiness.
- Drive Universal Journal (ACDOCA) adoption and support transition from classic ECC finance architecture.
- Collaborate with technical teams on data migration, reconciliation and financial data validation activities.
- Analyse custom developments and identify remediation requirements related to Finance processes.
- Support conversion activities including system preparation, testing, cutover planning and hypercare support.
- Lead workshops with business stakeholders to gather requirements and provide process improvement recommendations.
- Prepare functional specifications and support development teams during solution build activities.
- Execute and support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and defect resolution.
- Ensure adherence to project governance, quality standards and delivery timelines.
- Mentor junior consultants and contribute to capability development within the SAP Finance practice.
- Support proposal development, solutioning activities and client presentations for SAP transformation opportunities.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Strong expertise in SAP FI with proven experience in ECC to S/4HANA Brownfield conversion projects.
- Deep understanding of S/4HANA Finance architecture and simplification concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Universal Journal, Business Partner integration and Finance data migration activities.
- Strong knowledge of General Ledger Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting and Financial Closing processes.
- Experience in conversion readiness assessment, custom code impact analysis and finance process transformation.
- Strong understanding of integration points between Finance and other SAP modules including MM, SD, PP and Project Systems.
- Experience with reconciliation processes before, during and after system conversion.
- Knowledge of SAP migration and conversion tools, including SUM/DMO-led conversion approaches.
- Ability to analyse complex business problems and translate them into scalable SAP solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management and client-facing consulting skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation and workshop facilitation capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical and decision-making abilities.
Ideally, You'll Also Have
- Experience in at least two full-cycle SAP S/4HANA conversion or transformation programmes.
- Exposure to Central Finance, Group Reporting, FSCM or Treasury processes.
- Knowledge of SAP Activate methodology and agile delivery approaches.
- Experience in global rollout, template harmonisation or shared services transformation projects.
- SAP S/4HANA Finance certification.
- Understanding of SAP Fiori applications relevant to Finance processes.
- Experience working in multinational and geographically distributed project teams.
- Exposure to Regulatory Reporting, IFRS and local statutory compliance requirements.
