Being a member of our Consulting team means you will specialize in a particular competency - Risk, Technology Consulting, or IT Risk & Assurance. Our Technology Consulting team is focused on helping clients improve operational efficiency and security, while also reducing costs and managing risk.

In this role, we are looking for an experienced SAP AFCC Manager to join our growing SAP Finance team. An SAP Advanced Financial Closing (AFC) Manager is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and optimization of the financial closing processes using SAP AFC, typically within an S/4HANA environment. This role focuses on automating, accelerating, and monitoring month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing tasks across heterogeneous system landscapes

 

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Design and configure SAP AFC task lists, dependencies, and workflows to streamline closing activities.
  • Standardize and automate manual tasks, utilizing best-practice templates to accelerate the financial close.
  • Integrate AFC with on-premises and cloud systems, including SAP ERP, S/4HANA, and third-party systems.
  • Provide real-time visibility into the closing progress across subsidiaries and headquarters, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a clear audit trail.
  • Resolve issues related to task execution, system connectivity, and data inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate with finance, IT, and external stakeholders to define business requirements and ensure a smooth closing process.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements independently (Mandatory skill)
  • Ability to drive design workshops independently with the client (Mandatory skill)
  • Must be able to prepare the materials for the design workshops independently (Mandatory skill)
  • Must send out the Meeting Minutes of the Workshop post each workshop that he/she leads (Mandatory skill)
  • Follow‑up on the action items from the workshops
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with SAP AFCC functionality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing and integrating enterprise domain knowledge with technology skills.

 

What we look for

  • Candidate must be a qualified CA / ICWA / MBA Finance/M. Com in a reputed institution with a sound industry/domain experience and SAP relevant experience between 7 to 11years in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Financial Accounting, Fixed Asset Accounting, Inter-company Accounting, Project System, Management Accounting. 
  • Must have at least 2 end-to-end implementation experience in SAP AFCC.
  • Creating and managing automated chains of tasks, including the automatic triggering and execution of ABAP programs and jobs
  • Configuring the closing structure, defining dependencies between tasks, and managing task list parameters
  • Using real-time monitoring to ensure compliance, governance, and transparency of the financial close
  • Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA Finance, SAP Fiori apps (for managing closing tasks), and understanding of job scheduling
  • Integrating AFCC with SAP S/4HANA Cloud and potentially bringing in external add-ons (e.g., Blackline) for extended record-to-report automation.
  • Strong understanding of general ledger, account reconciliation, and financial reporting.
