Global Delivery Services refers to EY's worldwide network of service delivery centres. The GDS team plays an important role in EY’s strategy by ensuring effective support to EY’s growth agenda.

Enablement Services provides cost-effective, high-skilled, and innovative services to support EY’s global and local enablement teams. Markets, BMC, AWS, Finance and Accounting, Risk Management, Procurement, People Shared Services, IT Service Delivery and IT Global Infrastructure services, are among the services offered by Enablement Services.
Our innovation specialists serve the GDS Client Service and Enablement Services teams, along with Service Lines, Core Business Services and Sectors. The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Consultant – SAP S/4HANA Utilities Device Management (Functional) with strong hands-on experience in SAP IS-U Device Management and S/4HANA Utilities. The role involves end-to-end implementation, configuration, and support of Device Management processes for utility clients, working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver high-quality SAP S/4HANA solutions.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong functional expertise in SAP IS Utilities, with hands on experience across Electricity, Gas, and Water utility operations, supporting end to end business processes.
- Perform SAP IS U system configuration and customization, ensuring solutions are aligned with business requirements and EY delivery standards.
- Lead and support Business Workshops, Blueprinting sessions, and solution design activities, including the creation of Business Blueprint Documents (BBP/BBD), Functional Specifications (FS), test scenarios, and training materials.
- Execute and support system testing cycles (Unit, Integration, UAT), including defect management and resolution, with a strong focus on the Device Management (DM) module.
- Design, optimize, and document core and customized IS U business processes, applying industry best practices and EY Utilities accelerators where applicable.
- Collaborate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and global EY GDS counterparts, translating complex functional requirements into clear, actionable solutions.
- Demonstrate mobility and flexibility, with a willingness to travel as required to support client engagements and project delivery.
- Strong understanding of Utility industry business processes, including both Regulated and Deregulated market models across electricity, gas, and water utilities.
- In‑depth expertise in SAP IS‑Utilities Device Management with hands‑on experience in developing Business Blueprints (BBP/BBD), Business Process Plans (BPP), Functional Specifications, and test cases.
- Solid functional knowledge of Meter‑to‑Cash (M2C) processes and their end‑to‑end integration within SAP IS‑U.
- Configure core Device Management processes such as: Device and register management, Installation, removal, replacement, and technical objects, Meter reading integration, Device lifecycle management
- Exposure to country‑specific localization requirements within SAP IS‑Utilities solutions.
- Support end-to-end Utilities processes involving Device Management, Meter Reading, and integration with Billing and Customer Service.
- Participate in S/4HANA Utilities transformation or migration projects (ECC IS-U to S/4HANA).
- Mandatory Skills - Device Management (DM), Technical Master Data, Integration with Meter Reading & Billing
- Experience working in regulated and deregulated energy market environments, supporting complex billing and receivables processes.
- Ability to design templates, accelerators, and process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of application support.
- Skilled in gathering, analysing, and prioritizing SAP business requirements, and designing scalable, fit‑for‑purpose solutions aligned with EY GDS delivery standards.
- Strong understanding of configuration dependencies and cross‑module integration, including Billing, C4C/CRM, FI-CA and related SAP IS‑U components.
- Expertise in defining end‑to‑end test scenarios, creating master data, and executing unit testing, cycle testing, and integration testing.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Experience with integration between SAP IS‑Utilities Device Management and third‑party Meter Reading Systems like FCS, GIS etc
- Exposure to MDM / AMI integration scenarios with SAP Utilities.
- Working knowledge of AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure), including AMI concepts and architecture, Interval data and meter event handling.
- Working knowledge of integration between C4C, FI‑CA, and SAP IS‑U Billing.
