Global Delivery Services refers to EY's worldwide network of service delivery centers. The GDS team plays an important role in EY’s strategy by ensuring effective support to EY’s growth agenda.

Our innovation specialists serve the GDS Client Service and Enablement Services teams, along with Service Lines, Core Business Services and Sectors. The Opportunity

SAP Build Process Automation (SAP BPA) -  Senior

Your Key Responsibilities

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced SAP Build Process Automation (BPA) Senior Consultant to lead the design, development, and deployment of intelligent automation solutions across business processes. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP Build Process Automation (formerly SAP Intelligent RPA), workflow management, business rules, and integration with SAP and non-SAP systems, enabling business transformation through automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end implementation of SAP Build Process Automation solutions, including process automation, workflows, and business rules.
• Analyze business processes and identify automation opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy automated workflows using SAP Build Process Automation.
• Integrate SAP BPA with SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP BTP services, SAP Fiori, and third-party applications.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical automation solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior consultants and developers.
• Ensure adherence to SAP best practices, security standards, and governance models.
• Perform automation solution documentation, including design, configuration, and operational guides.
• Support UAT, go-live activities, and post-production support.
• Work closely with functional and technical teams to deliver high-quality automation solutions within timelines.
• Stay updated with the latest SAP BTP and automation innovations and recommend improvements.

Skills and attributes for success

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of SAP experience with 3+ years hands-on experience in SAP Build Process Automation / SAP Intelligent RPA.
• Strong understanding of:
• SAP Build Process Automation (Processes, Forms, Business Rules)
• SAP BTP architecture
• REST APIs, OData services
• SAP Fiori and UI technologies
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA or ECC integration.
• Knowledge of workflow automation, exception handling, and error management.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple automation initiatives.

Preferred Skills:

• SAP BTP or SAP Build Process Automation certification.
• Experience with other RPA tools (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism).
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum project methodologies.
• Experience in process mining or intelligent automation strategy.
