Opportunity Role: SAP BODS Manager (7+ Years)

We are looking for an SAP BODS Manager with deep expertise in end‑to‑end SAP data migration to lead ECC to S/4HANA and cloud migration programs. The role requires a strong blend of technical leadership, delivery ownership, and stakeholder management, working across large‑scale global transformation initiatives.

Role & Client Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end SAP data migration workstreams using SAP BODS
• Own solution design for complex migration scenarios (ECC → S/4HANA, cloud, carve‑outs)
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers on data migration
• Drive migration strategy, approach, sequencing, and cutover planning
• Collaborate with functional leads, architects, and cross‑track teams
• Interface with onsite leads, program managers, and global delivery teams
• Review and approve:
  • Migration design documents
  • BODS architecture and job designs
  • Data validation and reconciliation strategies
• Proactively identify migration risks and define mitigation plans
• Support presales activities including:
  • Solutioning
  • Effort estimation
  • Technical inputs for proposals

People & Delivery Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor BODS developers (junior to senior levels)
• Assign and monitor work, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines
• Establish and enforce development standards and best practices
• Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and technical walkthroughs
• Build a strong quality‑driven and ownership‑focused delivery culture
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations
• Drive internal capability building, accelerators, and reusable assets

Technical Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of experience in SAP data migration with strong BODS focus
• Proven track record of leading multiple end‑to‑end migration cycles
• Expert‑level knowledge of:
  • SAP BODS architecture, design, and performance optimization
  • Jobs, dataflows, workflows, transformations, and error handling
• Strong hands‑on experience with:
  • ECC to S/4HANA data migration
  • SAP source and target systems
• Hands‑on exposure to:
  • S/4HANA Data Migration Cockpit (LTMC / Fiori Migration Object Modeler)
  • IDOC / BAPI based integrations using BODS
• Advanced SQL skills for complex data analysis and issue resolution
• Functional understanding of SAP process areas like Finance, Sales and Distribution, Material Management etc
• Experience in:
  • BODS installation, configuration, scheduling, and Management Console
  • Migration mock cycles, dress rehearsals, and cutover execution
• Ability to produce:
  • Migration strategies
  • Technical architectures
  • Detailed effort estimates and plans
• Good understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL best practices
